When it comes to wearing fragrances, I love to change it up a lot. I have a large collection of fragrances, so like to wear different ones every day.
But there’s something to be said of having your own smell. I am talking about a signature scent.
A signature scent is all about a fragrance which you are known for. You’ll walk into a room and someone will recognise you from the fragrance you’re wearing.
That’s what a signature scent is all about.
But picking the right scent can be hard. You’ll want something versatile which works in most situations, something which is inoffensive but is noticeable.
Here’s the best signature scents any man can wear every day and smell amazing.

The Best Signature Scents For Men
Prada Paradigme Le Parfum

A fresh spicy and amber style scent, Prada Paradigme Le Parfum is intoxicating without being overbearing.
It’s a fragrance which will get compliments without smelling like a good night out, although it can be worn for that too.
Perfect for younger guys aged 18-30 looking for a daily scent to make them smell good.
Top Notes – Gourmand Geranium
Heart Notes – Leather, Vanilla
Base Notes – Amberever
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP

One of the best office fragrances which works on so many other levels, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP is a top pick for a signature scent.
An earthy and woody type of scent which has a dry and musky type of smell to it. It works for older guys best, but younger ones can wear this too.
A brilliant fragrance for men in their 40’s, Grey Vetiver gives off that masculine gentlemanly smell that works well with your everyday wardrobe.
Top Notes – Grapefruit, Orange Blossom, Sage.
Middle Notes – Nutmeg, Orris Root, Pimento.
Base Notes – Amber, Oakmoss, Vetiver, Woody Notes.
Dior Sauvage EDT

One of the best scents for getting compliments, Dior Sauvage EDT has stood the test of time. It’s one of the most popular men’s fragrances, and for good reason, it gets compliments all the time.
It’s popularity means that you’ll not smell unique, but if you can get over that, it’s a good signature scent. Always getting compliments, and suited to more younger men.
Notes: Bergamot, Ambroxan, Geranium, Pepper, Lavender, Vetiver, Patchouli
Bleu De Chanel Parfum

A real touch of class and a gentlemanly smell, that’s what I think of when I think of Bleu De Chanel Parfum. The same DNA as the rest of the collection, but more refined.
When the EDT has a punchy fresh-spicy style, the parfum is more understated. Perfect for older guys, it smells just as good, but with a soft sandalwood which smells amazing without shouting about it.
A fantastic daily driver and a favourite fragrance for men in their 30s, you can easily wear this to the office every day and be the best smelling guy at work.
Top Notes: Lemon Zest
Heart Notes: Lavender, Geranium
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Cedar
Armani Stronger With You Intensely

One of the newer lines from Armani but now a few years old, Armani Stronger With You Intensely has a warm spicy feel to it which is so attractive you can’t help but love it.
It’s not over-done, so you can wear this every day with it’s sweet and seductive smell. A great one to use as a signature scent for evenings.
For youthful guys looking for a signature fragrance in your 20s, Stronger With You Intensely is a top pick.
Top Notes – Pink Pepper, Juniper, Violet
Heart Notes – Lavender, Cinnamon, Toffee, Sage
Base Notes – Vanilla, Amber, Tonka Bean, Suede
Armani Acqua Di Gio Parfum

One of the best fresh-citrus style of fragrances you can wear, I am talking about Armani Acqua Di Gio Parfum. It took place of Profumo, and it’s been a staple in the fragrance collection for the past few years.
This is a powerful scent, which means it has good staying power and longevity. It will easily get you through a full day at work, and take you home too.
One of the easiest fragrances to wear that works in almost any situation, it just smells good, and it’s as simple as that.
Top Notes – Bergamot, Ginger
Heart Notes – Clary Sage, Rosemary
Base Notes – Patchouli, Incense
Armani Acqua Di Gio Profondo

A fantastic marine aquatic scent, Armani Acqua Di Gio Profondo is a fragrance I really enjoy wearing, and it could easily be a signature scent.
The marine notes gives it that green style, with the citrus and aquatic notes making it an easy to wear daily scent.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Green Mandarin
Middle Notes: Rosemary, Lavender, Cypress, Lentisk
Base Notes: Patchouli, Musk, Mineral Amber Accord
Creed Aventus

If money is no object and you want something which is versatile, Creed Aventus is a good choice for a signature scent.
It is of course expensive, and I personally wear this on special occasions, but if you’re only wearing one scent, this is a top niche fragrance to pick as a signature scent.
Citrus, woody, slightly fruity and smoky all at once, it still manages to be one of the best men’s fragrances you can wear.
Top Notes – Blackcurrant, Italian Bergamot, French apples, Pineapple
Middle Notes – Rose, Dry birch, Moroccan jasmine, Patchouli
Base Notes – Musk, Oak moss, Ambergris, Vanilla
Bleu De Chanel EDT

The original BdC and still my favourite, Bleu De Chanel EDT is a fresh spicy scent with a slightly woody and green style.
The original EDT is more youthful, so makes a great scent for younger guys to wear to work, the office or even uni. It gets compliments so makes a good signature fragrance for an evening.
YSL MYSLF EDP

A fantastic fresh spicy fragrance which is going to get you compliments, YSL MYSLF EDP is a cool youthful scent that’s really easy to wear every day.
It’s a blue fragrance similar to Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel, with strong hits of citrus that make this one stand out.
I think it’s a good scent to wear to university or college, or make this one your going out fragrance to be known as the guy who always smells good.
Top Notes – Calabrian Bergamot
Heart Notes – Tunisian Orange Blossom
Base Notes – Ambrofix, Patchouli
Terre D’Hermes Pure Parfum

It’s grown to be one of my favourite scents and definitely worthy of a signature fragrance, this is Terre D’Hermes Pure Parfum from Hermes.
A citrus, dirty orange smell which works so well during the day, it can be worn in the office or just as a daily driver whatever you do.
It’s earthy style means it works well for all ages, but older guys from 30+ will appreciate this a lot. Smell good without it looking like you’re trying.
Top Notes: Orange, Grapefruit, Shiso
Middle Notes: Flint
Base Notes: Woodsy Notes
Mont Blanc Explorer

I can’t have a signature scent series without mentioning the beauty that is Mont Blanc Explorer. If you like Creed Aventus but don’t want to waste it as a daily driver, Mont Blanc Explorer EDP is the best alternative to Aventus.
With that said, there’s no need to tell you how good it smells, but I will. Bergamot, Vetiver and Ambrofix gives this a soft woody and orange-citrus style of smell, perfect for your daily office scent.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Clary sage, Pink pepper
Middle Notes: Vetiver, Cocoa, Leather
Base Notes: Ambrofix, Patchouli, Akigalawood
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue

When it comes to a signature scent for the daytime, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is a good pick. It’s light citrus nature means you’ll smell good without it look like you’re trying.
It’s a very light smell so you’ll know you smell good without it being over the top.
Top Notes – Sicilian mandarin, Frozen grapefruit peel, Bergamot, Juniper
Middle Notes – Rosemary, Szechuan pepper, Rosewood
Base Notes – Musk wood, Incense, Oakmoss
Floris London Santal

One of my favourite fragrances of all time works well as a signature scent, this is Floris London Santal.
A woody, citrus and fresh spicy type of fragrance which smells really nice without the need to shout about it.
I got into this because it smells similar one of my all time discontinued favourites, Gucci Envy, but it’s good enough to stand on it’s own.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Green Grass, Lemon
Heart Notes: Clove Bud, Lavender, Nutmeg
Base Notes: Amber, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Vetiver
And there you have it, the best signature scents for men. Choosing any of these fragrances will make you get recognised as that good smelling guy.
You’ll get compliments and having that trademark scent will make you more memorable to everyone you know.
There’s tons more scents you can discover from my men’s fragrances reviews, if you’re looking to add one to your collection or something to smell good for a specific occasion.
