Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Review

It’s another new year, and another Paco Rabanne fragrance from the Invictus line has been released. I got a bottle of Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum for my birthday to add to my collection of the Invictus line.

Here’s what Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum smells like, and everything you need to know about it.

What Does Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum Smell Like?

Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum has quite a strong mint smell to it, combined with a real aromatic and fresh vibe to it. It’s actually a kind of complex fragrance to really nail down on the first smell.

At first I thought Invictus Platinum was far more of an aromatic purple style of scent with it’s lavender. But after smelling again and again and also letting it settle down, I really got into the strong mint notes of this fragrance.

The official blurb states that it’s a woody fresh fragrance, but I wouldn’t say I got a whole lot of the woody notes in this. An interesting note which is listed is absinthe, I don’t think I own a scent which has this note.

The grapefruit is in the top note, and I can smell this slightly, but for me the mint and lavender really do shine through in this one.

In comparison to Invictus Victory, Invictus Platinum is more fresh spicy, while Invictus Victory is more sweet and aromatic.

The Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Bottle

The Invictus Platinum bottle takes the same form as all the other bottles in the line. It’s a trophy style bottle, this time opting for some angel wings on the front.

I have myself a 50ml bottle which is a perfect size in this scent for me.

When & Where To Wear Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum

It is quite hard to pin down an exact time or occasion to wear Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum.

I think that this is quite a versatile scent. You can wear it during the day without offending, but it also has that inviting style to it to make it suitable for an evening.

Invictus Platinum has that premium twinge to it too. Making it a scent you can wear in formal occasions, as well as it being perfectly fine in a casual setting.

In terms of the season, once again I think it’s a fine all rounder. If I had to nail down one, spring/summer would be the choice, although it will work in autumn and at a push, winter too.

How Long Does Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Last?

Although Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum is an eau de parfum, I didn’t get any extra long performance from this. It’s not weak, but scents with notes of this nature tend not to last a long time.

Still, I was able to easily get 5 to 6 hours of Invictus Platinum before the scent started to fade.

The projection is pretty decent too, with people around being able to smell it.

Pros And Cons Of Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum

Pros

  • At £57 for 50ml it is a good price for an eau de parfum.
  • It’s a really nice scent for the spring and summer, and can stretch to other seasons too.
  • It’s a universal type of scent, meaning that most people will enjoy this.
  • Being a new scent for 2022, you’ll not smell like everyone else.

Cons

  • Although a nice fragrance, Invictus Platinum doesn’t have that “wow” factor
  • It’s a flanker scent, which may put some people off

Summary: Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum

Paco Rabanne Invictus Platinum Eau De Parfum is a good scent to own. If you already own any from the Invictus line you’ll get a feel of a similar fragrance DNA to the rest of them.

It’s a nice easy reach for a summer style of scent that’s not strong in the citrus department. If you like mint types of fragrances such as Versace EROS, this is in a similar category.
