Going All Black: Nudie Jeans And No Nationality 07 From END

Nudie Jeans And No Nationality From End Clothing

Hey guys!

Happy Monday to you. I’ve got a couple of things still to write about which I’ve got from the January sales, and first up is a couple of things I got from END.

When it comes to style if you’re stuck a lot of people will say, when in doubt, go black, and that’s what I’ve done in my all black choices.

First up is a NN07 No Nationality T Shirt. As you’ll probably know if you’re a regular reader, I love Scandinavian style, it’s become popular in recent times but I’ve been a real lover of it along with the fashion and the brands for a long time.

I’ve featured NN07 aka No Nationality a few times on the blog before, but this is my first piece I’ve picked up. It’s one of their minimal and simple tees, with the branding to the front.

The T-shirt itself is made from Pima cotton, which you’ll know if you’ve read my T-shirt guide is a really soft type of cotton. The fit is also good, and there’s no doubt it will feature in an outfit sometime in the future which you’ll see here.

Is there anything I can say about Nudie Jeans which I’ve never said already? The thing about denim is this; I have a huge collection of jeans, the vast majority are high end and top quality, and it’s got kind of crazy.

I sort of decided that I’d try limit myself to 1 pair of high end denim (or any jeans) a year, which I’ve already broke since I got my Kenzo jeans too.

I’ve already got a pair of black selvedge from Nudie, when are incredible quality and have stood the test of time like I thought they would. I usually save these for going out for an occasion, so I wanted to try more black jeans outfits for everyday wear, and of course Nudie was the brand to go for.

I know the fit, I know they’re quality, and since it was the sale, it was a really good price. I got these cold wash black jeans, they’re the Grim Tim fit which is my preferred fit. If you’re unfamiliar, they’re a slim leg with a button fly, so in terms of style they’re exactly the jeans I want.

Last year I got a pair of Selvedge dry denim indigo high end jeans from them, with these being similar but black, and much softer denim which is what I wanted this time round.

Film Night: Paper Towns

Sunday, 13th January, 2019

My film night is back, and I decided to finally watch Paper Towns. I got this ages ago on blu ray, but since we had Christmas and there were a few things on TV I wanted to watch, I decided to finally sit down and give this a watch. Paper Towns is a coming of age film which stars Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff, and since I love coming of age films, I was looking forward to watching this.

It is about a shy guy called Quentin “Q” (Nat Wolff) who lives across the street from Margo (Cara Delevingne) who he is friends with from childhood and who he really likes. They discover a dead body, and Margo discovers the man killed himself after his divorce. The film then goes through to the teenage years, at the final year of high school, where Margo and Q have drifted apart since then.

Dolce And Gabbana The One Grey For Men Fragrance Review

A new year usually means new scents for me, as it’s one of the easiest things to buy me for Christmas. In the past year I’ve had my eye on two scents which were recently released, one of them being Dolce And Gabbana The One Grey for men.

Grey is the latest in the line of The One scents released from Dolce And Gabbana, following on from the original which was a big hit and Gentleman which was a personal favourite of mine. It comes 10 years after the original, so what’s this one all about?

My First Pair Of Premium Shoes – Loake 1880 Aldwych Oxford

Loake 1880 Aldwych Shoe Review

It’s a new year, and for me, that means new shoes. When it comes to shoes I now have quite a collection, and have really got into shoes in recent years. I love all of the shoes I own, they are all from great high street brands and have served me proud.

However for this year, I decided to treat myself, and go for something more high end, and went for the Aldwych shoes from the Loake 1880 range.

When it comes to a gentleman’s style, I think there’s a few essentials a guy should have. There’s a good watch, a well-fitted suit, a good winter coat and then there’s a few pairs of shoes you need.

This is my first foray into premium footwear, so I have been looking around for quite a few months. I’ve been soaking in all the information, checking out all the brands, styles and shoemakers out there, and one of the stand out decided on getting a pair of Loake shoes.

New In The Wardrobe: Kenzo Leopard Jeans

New In My Wardrobe - Kenzo Jeans

I’ve got the first of the items I’ve bought over Christmas, and they’re my jeans which are by Kenzo. I love denim, and usually buy at least one pair, although this year I’ve gone for a few, this being the first to arrive from my online shopping.

When it comes to denim, my go to brand is usually Nudie Jeans, and I’ve also got a good pair of Levi’s in recent times too. Over the years, I’ve bought a lot of designer brand denim, from Acne Studios to Balenciaga, Dolce and Gabbana and Dior to name a few, but recently stopped going for the designer brands over the proper denim brands.

Jaeger Knit, Denim, White Shirt - Outfit

Hey guys!

I hope you are well, are you prepared for Christmas? We’ve reached the last weekend before Christmas, I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. It seems like just yesterday it was the Summer, I was in Rome, and then of course it was the World Cup, and that unbelievably hot summer we had in England.

There’s only a few days left until Christmas, and not long for the end of the year either. I think I have everything sorted, presents wrapped, and everything seems to be done for the big day ready for when the big man comes down the chimney 😉

Fenwick Christmas Window Newcastle 2018 – The Snowman

Fenwick Window 2018 - The Snowman

It’a another Christmas time tradition in Newcastle, the dressing of Fenwick Window in a Christmassy theme, and I’ve finally got it up here for you to see! This year it is the classic animated film that we all know and love and saw when we were kids, it’s The Snowman.

All the iconic scenes are here at Fenwick, and the windows look really good as they always do. From the Snowman riding the motorbike to dancing, flying and of course that party, everything is depicted with a different scene in each window. Some are static, with some having the added magic of being electronic, with the window coming to life.

If you haven’t managed to get down or don’t like in Newcastle, you can see the pictures below. There’s also links to the previous year’s windows.

Newcastle Christmas Markets

I finally made it down to the Newcastle Christmas Markets this year!

I was there on Thursday checking them out, and took my camera to get some good photos of what we have in Newcastle. I had a quick look a few weeks ago on a night which makes much better photos, but I didn’t have my camera at the time, only my phone. It was so cold, but so sunny, the enemy of the photographer 😀

Trust that the day I go there’s the sun blazing down on me…Better than the rain I guess. You can also get some interesting effects with the sun which can look cool.

Anyway if you’re familiar with Newcastle or if you’re not, the Christmas Markets are around the main section of the middle of the city, which is around Grey’s Monument, Grainger Street and Grey Street, which is close to Northumberland Street, the main shopping street.

Happy Christmas Jumper Day 2018

Happy Christmas Jumper Day!

Today marks the day where you can wear something festive! If you’ve check out my post on Christmas Jumpers there’s a few good ones you can get this year, and since I’ve already got so many, didn’t have to buy a new one for this year.

This year I have gone for my Santa Claws jumper which is mostly grey and red, and comes with the novelty knitted kitten with a Christmas hat. It is from a brand called Tipsy Elves, and I got this a couple of years ago.

Now is the time to get all festive and wear Xmas jumpers! We’ve got 10 days until Christmas Eve, so I’ll be wearing my festive knits on most days, in-keeping with the Christmas spirit.

Have a happy Friday! 🙂
