Male grooming is becoming a bigger and bigger industry, and as guys we’re all taking more pride in the way we look. The typical routine has gone from a simple shower and shave, to something more complex, with dedicated products for each aspect of your grooming regime.
Being a modern man is all about taking care of yourself, including your appearance, and these days there’s a whole host of different products and brands out there to help us live a better life. From shaving to smelling good, keeping our skin looking its best and keeping our hair style fresh.
The Gentleman’s Grooming & Lifestyle Show is right around the corner, and is your destination for everything related to male grooming. It’s the UK’s premier exhibition exclusively dedicated to male grooming and lifestyle which is open to the public, as well as industry professionals.
If you like to look good and smell good, it’s the place to be to get inspired and educated about the world of male grooming. You’ll find the latest and greatest brands from around the world, all in one place.
Just For Men is one of the headline sponsors for this year’s event, and have leading barber from RUGER, Carlie Firth, demonstrating how to get your best beard ever using Just For Men product. As we know, Just For Men Moustache and Beard eliminates grey for a thicker, fuller look. You can also use Just for Men Moustache & Beard to enhance natural beards, making them appear fuller and thicker.
There’ll be a demonstration held on the main stage at midday to show just how easy it is to use the moustache and beard product.
The Gentleman’s Grooming & Lifestyle Show takes place at Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL on Saturday 17th November – Sunday 18th November from noon until 17:00. You can get your tickets here and visit their site here.
As I’ve mentioned on social media, I’ve managed to get a Q&A with Carlie Firth, and here’s some of the questions which you’ve put to her about your main grooming concerns.
Q & A with Carlie Firth
What type of hair product do you recommend for shorter hair?
For shorter hair you want create texture and movement. I’d always recommend a dry clay or salt spray which can be blow dried in or added to style.
What’s the easiest hair style for guys with not a lot of time in the morning?
The Buzz cut! No blow-dying necessary! You can even get away with no products if you wanted! These are getting really popular at the shop after London Fashion Week. We saw a lot of these on the catwalk.
Do you have any tips for guys with different colours in their beards?
Just for Men Moustache & Beard blends away the grey and replaces with tones of your original hair colour, so it makes for a more natural look. Evening the beard colour also creates a fuller look.
Do you recommend using a beard oil or just general moisturiser on a beard?
I always recommend a beard moisturiser when growing a beard to get rid of that annoying itch. It hydrates the skin underneath too. Then a beard oil smooths down the hair, giving a much more groomed appearance.
What is the most on trend hair style for guys at the moment?
We’re doing more scissor cuts after everyone saw Bradley Cooper back on our screens! And again Buzz cuts with a high skin fade, that’s really on trend at the minute.
Are beards still cool in 2018?
Beards haven’t gone anywhere! I can’t remember the last time I did a full shave actually! Men are spending more on beard treatments and products than ever before.
