Floris Bergamotto Di Positano Review

I really like Floris scents, and if you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know the love I have for Floris Santal, which is definitely one of my favourite fragrances which I currently own. If you aren’t familiar with Floris, they are a British perfume house, founded in 1730 in London and have a range of men’s and women’s perfumes, as well as scents for the home.

They also offer fragrance customisation, along with a bespoke perfume design service, where you can design your own scent from the ground up. So when my friends over at Floris told me about this fragrance, I had to check it out.

How To Get Out Of The Friend Zone With A Girl [Men’s Advice]

Monday, 25th April, 2016

The friend zone, what a place to be. What can I say about the friend zone?

It’s not a place you want to visit too often that’s for sure, but if you happen to not be a douche and you’re actually a nice guy, it’s a place which you can find yourself in a fair bit.

Gant Pour Homme Men's Aftershave Review

I recently got the GANT Pour Homme Eau De Toilette scent from GANT, and is the first scent I have had from the brand. The first thing you notice about this is the bottle, which is a very dark blue colour, with the glass having a thatched style of pattern throughout the bottle.

It has minimal GANT branding to the front of the bottle, with the top and atomiser being a smooth matte black colour.

Tommy Jeans 90’s Style Is Back – Capsule Collection

Tuesday, 19th April, 2016

Remember that Tommy Hilfiger logo? If you were a child of the 90’s like me, you’ll remember that distinctive Tommy Hilfiger flag logo which was synonymous with the brand back in the good old days of the 90’s. As you’ll know if you’re a regular reader, I love that 90’s fashion is back (check my 90s fashion tips) and Tommy Hilfiger was one of the major brands back then.

A few brands have been doing re-releases and re-branding, going back to the 90’s, such as Calvin Klein, French Connection, Ellesse and Kappa, Tommy Jeans is the latest label to be making a very fashionable comeback, fashionably late of course šŸ˜‰

The collection comprises of flag sweatshirts in a couple of colours, available for £90, as well as a couple of tees in a few colours, costing £40. The capsule collection is finished with a denim jacket with trademark logo to the back, costing £150.

The T-shirts are well worth a look at, if you’re into 90’s or street style these will go down well and be a nice little addition to your wardrobe, or if you’re thinking ahead to the Autumn/Winter, the sweatshirts look really good.

Styling the Kurt Geiger Niles Brogues

Brogues are a style of shoe which I have never previously owned. Brogues are all about the detailing, the perforations are what give a pair of shoes the brogue title. There’s many variations, from a full brogue/wingtips to half brogues and quarter brogue, they’re defined by the amount, and style of perforations which are on the shoe design.

Spring is now in full swing, which means warmer weather, but it’s also the time of April showers, and a jacket or coat is still needed when you want to go out. BHS have a great range of jackets for this season, and I’ve been working with them to let you know about their range of jackets for the Spring, and I have styled one up for the blog.

Polo Blue Eau De Parfum By Ralph Lauren – What Does It Smell Like? [Fragrance Review]

Polo Blue Eau De Parfum For Men Review

Ralph Lauren have launched their latest fragrance for Spring/Summer 2016, Polo Blue. I have a few of the Ralph Lauren scents, and they are very pleasant. A while back I got a scent from the Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection, number 2, which was quite a sweet style of smell.

This brand new offering is Eau De Parfum rather than the usual Eau De Toilette which you’d be used to seeing, which means it’s a stronger formulation of a scent.

HP Spectre 13 Ultrabook 2016 Edition – First Look

WOW…Just Wow!

Back in the day which feels like a lifetime ago (and it was in tech terms) I got a MacBook Pro. That was the first of the unibody Macbooks, way back in 2008. It was beautiful, a design masterpiece, and it’s something which Apple has tweaked and changed over the past few years, but the general design remains the same. Back then it was probably the best looking laptop on the market, and I fancied trying out OSX too…I was not much of a fan, and put Windows on it, and it was still the best Windows offering at the time; Well there may have been a VAIO but I’d already had one of those and wanted a changed.

Introducing Micawber

Introducing Micawber Clothing

They want to produce the best fitting T-shirts which you’ll ever wear. That is the story of brand new UK brand, Micawber. As you’ll know if you’re a regular reader of Michael 84, I love T-shirts, and as I and everyone in the fashion industry will tell you, when it comes to clothing, the fit is everything.

If you’re wondering where the name of the brand comes from, it’s to represent the perpetually optimistic view on life shared by the brand’s namesake in David Copperfield. Micawber was founded by Thomas Elliott, and was born out of frustration when he finally wore out his favourite T-shirt, and could not find a suitable replacement which had the same quality and fit. Micawber was born with these two core principles in mind; To produce the best fitting T-shirts made from luxurious cotton for a premium look and feel. The guys have taken time and gone to considerable lengths to create the best fitting tees possible, measuring hundreds of men to work out their fit portfolio for the different cuts they’ll be offering.

The first cut from the line is the Finch, named after Atticus Finch, hero of To Kill a Mockingbird, a man who stood up for the rights and freedoms of minorities in fictional Maycomb County. It’s available in three staple colours, blue, white and grey, and is cut with slightly wider shoulders, mid-bicep sleeves and a slightly longer cut, which gives a slim silhouette. The design is finished with a small embroidered branding logo to the front breast. These are available in sizes Small to Large, and cost Ā£30.

Coming soon to the line are ā€œThe Buchananā€ and ā€œThe Steerforthā€, which will add different cuts to the Micawber range.

outfit grid - What I wore last night - Spring Suede Style

Hey!

How’s you weekend been?Ā Mine has been a pretty good one!

It was the Grand National yesterday, did you have a bet? I’m not really a betting man, I know that betting has been getting really popular in the last year or two because of apps and cash out etc. but I have never really been interested in betting. I always say I only bet 3 times a year; The Soccer AM Dance Off (which was not on this year!), The Grand National and Eurovision. It’s became my tradition to have bets on these three events, ever since I was a kid we always bet on the Grand National, it’s pretty much a tradition for so many people, if you ever haveĀ a bet, it’s going to be on that. I always bet on a couple of horses, it makes it more interesting when you’re watching the race, there’s nothing worse than it being boring and never hearing your horse’s name, or it falling at the first fence. This year I won! I usually do well, but one of the horses I backed was the winner, Rule The World, obviously named after me ruling the world šŸ˜‰ It was a massive 50/1 so I have been on cloud 9 since yesterday when I won, it’s true what they say, money won is twice as sweet as money earned šŸ˜›

Last night I went out in Newcastle with my friends, and it was a good night. We hit the usual spots including Browns and Alvinos, and watched the boxing in The Monkey Bar which was really good. I managed to watch the George Groves fight which he won, then straight after the main event, Anthony Joshua who won in a knockout in the 2nd round.

Last night I wore some Spring suede style, one of my favourite jumpers from GANT, a cable knit, my suede jacket from Mango, PRPS Selvedge denim jeans, Kurt Geiger shoes, and a white Mango shirt.

I still have loads of Rekorderlig left, so I might have to have one or two of them tonight, and watch a film later on. But first, football šŸ˜›

Have a great Sunday šŸ™‚
