Wednesday, 3rd April, 2019

Joico Structure Hair Products Review

If there’s one thing which I love, it’s to try out new products and see how they stack up against the products which I currently use, and in some cases, have been using for years. This is especially true when it comes to hair styling products, so when I had the chance to take a look at the Structure by JOICO I had to see what they were all about.

Tie Dye Fashion Trend – The Best Tie Dye T-Shirts And How To Wear Them

Monday, 1st April, 2019

When it comes to fashion trends, they come and go. It looks like we’re heading for the return of another trend, with a lot of fashion labels embracing it for women, but does it work for men? I am talking about the tie dye trend, which has made an appearance this Spring, and if it will be adopted, should last all summer long.

When it comes to on-trend styles, tie-dye has not been seen for years as something cool, in fact, I can’t remember the last time I saw it. It has roots from the 60’s where it was hugely popular, especially among the hippy set, heavily influenced with the music and festivals.

But it is now back, so will you be picking up any pieces?

Nudie Jeans Colors Capsule Collection

Tuesday, 26th March, 2019

Last week one of my favourite denim brands, Nudie Jeans, released a new capsule collection they are calling colors (sadly not colours like it should be! 😉 ). It’s a small collection which really caught my eye, so I decided to feature the 8 piece mini collection, which has a couple of great items.

What’s it all about?

Well Nudie Jeans say, “While browsing the archives of early Nudie Jeans gems we simultaneously had an eye on the vivid history of sportswear. The dual vision spawned a perfect sharp image which came to be the Colors collection.

What the collection has, is 8 pieces of menswear, which includes a couple of pairs of jeans, a bucket hat, a couple of tees, a button up shirt, pair of socks and a hoodie. As you can imagine with the name, it’s has some items which are a combination of being infused with a little bit of colour, or just incorporate colour within their entire design.

Here’s what caught my eye.

The Spring Equinox - How I'm Styling It This Spring
So apparently it’s the Spring Equinox today, so it should officially be the first day of Spring! 🙂

I have been noticing the lighter nights, and that’s a good thing, because it’s closer to the Summer which I love.

Soon we’ll be putting out clocks forward, and Summer will be here in no time. It will mean I have to swap my wardrobe around, from the Autumn/Winter to Spring/Summer in a few weeks time when the weather gets better.

A Brilliant Spanish Football Documentary: Six Dreams

Sunday, 17th March, 2019

I can’t believe I forgot to write about one of my favourite shows on Amazon which I watched at the back end of last year. I’m talking about the Spanish football documentary, Six Dreams.

As the name suggests, it follows the lives of 6 people involved in in the Spanish Premier League, La Liga, including 3 footballers. The main characters in the film are Iñaki Williams, Saúl Niñguez, Quique Cárcel, Amaia Gorostiza, Andrés Guardado and Eduardo Berizzo.

L’Homme Libre By YSL Men’s Fragrance Review – Here’s What It Smells Like

YSL Libre Men's Fragrance Review

We’re back for another classic fragrance review, and this time round I am looking at L’Homme Libre from Yves Saint Laurent. I’ve had this one since it’s year of release, 2011, and can’t believe I’ve never gave it a proper feature, because it is quite a nice scent, especially for this time of year.

So this is a bit of a remix from the YSL Homme original scent, something which I’ve never bought or tested, so I sadly can’t compare it. I got this the same time as YSL La Nuit L’Homme which is a scent for the evenings, whereas this is best for day.

Four More Shots Please! Review – Season 1 & 2 On Amazon Prime

Sunday, 10th March, 2019

I found myself a new show on Amazon Prime… Four More Shots Please!

It doesn’t matter if it’s a film or TV show, I love watching coming of age style of films which is all about friends living live and having a good time.

My favourite from Amazon was Red Oaks, a brilliant show, and there’s been plenty more.

The Best Nike Triple Black Trainers Right Now

If there’s one style of trainers which every guy needs to have, I think it’s got to be the triple black.

I myself have a few pairs, and of course one of the pioneers of the term triple black has been Nike. I love my Air Max, but they’re seen as a sports shoe, a casual trainer, and something you should wear only on really casual occasions. But what if you can’t actually tell it’s a sports trainer? That’s where the triple black comes in.

Adventureland For Film Night Review – A Brilliant Teen Comedy Drama

Sunday, 3rd March, 2019

Have you ever bought a film not because of the plot or name, but because of the T-shirt that the people wear on the cover?

That’s why I bought Adventureland on blu ray! 😀

Years ago I saw this T-shirt which had the word games repeated on the front of it, but I never knew what it meant, where it was from, or anything about it. I saw that design a few times, and then I discovered it was from a film called Adventureland.

So I looked into the film, and found that it was a coming of age film, my favourite genre, so had to get it to see what it was all about.

Saying Goodbye To Twitter – It’s Got To Toxic For Me

Thursday, 28th February, 2019

Twitter, It’s not you, It’s me….OK That’s a lie, it is you. It’s just not working out any more. It’s over

It’s 2019, and it is my 10th year of using Twitter for the blog, and probably 11th overall. I posted on the blog a few years ago that I thought Twitter just wasn’t the same, and in the past 3 or 4 years, I’ve used it less and less.

From the heights of posting 400 times a month in 2011 and 2012, to the lows of the past couple of years, sometimes barely making it to 50 tweets a month.

What has changed? Mainly two things. Myself, and the world.
