Nudie Jeans Colors Capsule Collection

Mens Fashion Collections
Tuesday, 26th March, 2019

Last week one of my favourite denim brands, Nudie Jeans, released a new capsule collection they are calling colors (sadly not colours like it should be! 😉 ). It’s a small collection which really caught my eye, so I decided to feature the 8 piece mini collection, which has a couple of great items.

What’s it all about?

Well Nudie Jeans say, “While browsing the archives of early Nudie Jeans gems we simultaneously had an eye on the vivid history of sportswear. The dual vision spawned a perfect sharp image which came to be the Colors collection.

What the collection has, is 8 pieces of menswear, which includes a couple of pairs of jeans, a bucket hat, a couple of tees, a button up shirt, pair of socks and a hoodie. As you can imagine with the name, it’s has some items which are a combination of being infused with a little bit of colour, or just incorporate colour within their entire design.

Here’s what caught my eye.

I have to start with the hoodie, “Marcus”, which is the piece which really sold this line to me. If you told me a hoodie with a block kind of design of three different colours would look good, then I might not believe you, but this just works.

The colours seem to just go really well, the panel design of the yellow, green and orange really do work well together. The yellow body, with contrasting colour sleeves as well as the kangaroo pouch, it really stands out and is a nice laid back piece. It’s made from 100% organic cotton in Portugal, and comes with the trademark back pocket pattern to the front breast in the colours.

£115

When it comes to the denim for your lower half, there’s two pairs on offer. A pair of their Lean Dean denim is available, which comes made from 12oz comfort stretch denim. There’s also the new fit, the Steady Eddy II which comes in a 13oz dry selvage. Both are in a dark wash which is always my preference, and have the back patch in the new Jarcon material as the newer Nudie’s do, rather than leather.

The back pocket stitching remains the trademark, but is styled in the 4 colours in-keeping the theme of the colors collection.

£115 and £185 respectively.

There’s two T Shirts on offer. The first is a more traditional tee, with front printed design of the Nudie Jeans stitching to the front, in a yellow colour. The second comes in a raglan sleeve style, with a green body and yellow sleeves, once again with the logo print to the front. Both tees come with what they are calling mouse teeth hems, which is a really nice little detail.

These are £48 and £85 respectively.

Lastly there’s a shirt, hat and pair of socks. The shirt is a bowling shirt style, which isn’t a particular favourite of mine, but it does look pretty decent, once again the colours working well. The socks are pretty nice too, as well as the bucket hat, which is an ode to 90’s style which is something which I love.

Bucket hats made a comeback a couple of years ago, and this one, made of heavy twill would be a great option, however it’s already sold out online.

The shirt is £115, with the hat being £58 and socks costing £9.

That’s the 8 piece colors capsule collection, which I think is a really nice addition to the Nudie Jeans lineup, with traditional pieces like the denim, getting a nice injection of colour. They’re all available on the Nudie Jeans site.

What do you think of the Nudie Jeans Colors Capsule Collection? Let me know 🙂
