Rekorderlig Botanicals Preview - Michael 84

Happy Saturday, It’s the start of another Bank Holiday weekend!

So a few days ago you may have caught on my Instagram stories that I was trying out some Rekorderlig Botanicals, and got some flavours which I haven’t previously had. If you’re unaware, Rekorderlig is a Swedish cider brand, I’ve featured them a fair bit on the blog over the years, and a while ago they released some new flavours, which they are calling botanicals.

I had a couple last year, but I found that they have some more flavours which I hadn’t tried. I thought I would get some bottles which would last me for a little while, they’ll come in perfect for the Summer, my birthday and of course the Swedish Midsummer (Midsummer’s eve falls on my birthday!).

The blackberry-violet-juniper was a flavour which I hadn’t tried before, so I was looking forward to giving that a go.

What do they taste like?

As with all things like this, it’s so hard to describe the taste. They are all really nice, refreshing and tasty drinks. I have got:

  • Rhubarb-Lemon-Mint
  • Blackberry-Violet-Juniper
  • Grapefruit-Rosemary

Rekorderlig Botanicals Tasting - Michael 84

All are pear ciders, made from pure Swedish spring water and infused with the flavours. I am not big on fruit, in fact I don’t eat any, but I do like the taste most fruit juices. If you take a look at these flavours on their own, they don’t sound too great to me, and when you combine the flavours, they sounds pretty crazy.

But when you actually taste these, you can’t help but love them. They’re all very nice, super tangy and the flavours really do hit you when you are drinking them. Some drinks can be bland, and that’s definitely not a word you’d use to describe these.

They are the perfect drink for the Summer when you want something with a lot of flavour. If you get a chance to try any of these, you should.

I’ll be drinking more of these throughout the year, so I might write a follow up. Until then, get yourself stocked up on these for the Summer. They’ll go down well, especially if the weather is good.

Have a good bank holiday weekend.

skål 😉
