JPG Fleur Du Male Review

A couple of week’s ago I wrote about Jean Paul Gaultier’s first and most infamous male scent, Le Male. After really enjoying this scent I got Fleur Du Male when it was released in 2007. All the classic JPG trademarks are present; From the torso shaped body to the tin style of box this fragrance comes in.

With this following on from a much loved scent, it had a lot to live up to.

212 Sexy MEN Fragrance Review

This week’s fragrance review takes a look at something a little older which is still available to buy today; 212 Sexy Men by Carolina Herrera. This scent was released in 2006, and I bought it not soon after. It was in fact the very first fragrance I bought from Carolina Herrera, and a one which I loved.

What To Pack For A Trip To Iceland

As you will know if you are a regular reader of my blog, I went to Iceland in the Autumn of last year. It’s a great place, with a big variety of things to do, and with each different type of activity, different clothing may be required, and it will also depend on what time of the year you’re going.

Will you be spending more time in the city of Reykjavik or are you getting a secluded cabin out in the countryside? Packing the right things can be challenging, especially when you’re going somewhere for the first time.

Brit Awards 2015

Thursday, 26th February, 2015

Madonna wore a cape and got dragged off the stage by a dancer……..

Now that is out the way, did you watch the Brits last night? I did, and I thought it was pretty good. I liked the performances from Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Paloma Faith. Kanye West brought more controversy, sort of…Most of his song was muted out with AUDIO MUTE being displayed on his performance most of the way through. Ant and Dec were presenting, and a lot of the time seemed to trip over themselves which I thought was odd considering they’ve been a double act forever! (a duo, a two-some, so many lyrics they’re frightened to use ’em).

Ed Sheeran won the two big awards, British Album and British Male Solo Artist, with Sam Smith winning two of his own, British Breakthrough Act and Global Success Award. Check out the full list of winners below.

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Review

In the past few weeks I have been writing my fragrance reviews about the new scents which I’ve got over Christmas and this Winter. Now I’m going back in time to something which I’ve owned for a long time, and I’m sure you have too. I am talking about the classic known as Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male.

Selected Homme Leather Jacket & MTV Logo Tee

selected-homme-leather-jacket-3

A few weeks ago I got one of the bargains of the sales, This Selected Homme Leather jacket. It’s a biker style, and is a really nice, light weight leather jacket. I have been getting into leather jackets more and more in the past few years, they are a real investment piece and although most of the time they cost a lot of money, they are usually worth it. I can see myself getting another really nice leather jacket, I think they are cool and are just timeless, but for the time being I will stick with this one, another FCUK which I have, and my two suede jackets from Mango and JOFAMA.

Issey Miyake Pour Homme Review

Issey Miyake Pour Homme is an old scent, with it being released way back in 1994, however it remains a firm favourite with many and is a real classic fragrance. It’s actually the latest Issey Miyake fragrance I’ve got, with L’Eau D’Issey and L’eau Bleue D’Issey being the other ones which I got a while back.

The pour homme came recommended, a lot of people rave about this, so I decided to give it a try, and after sampling it I really enjoyed it, so got a bottle.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP Review: Here’s How It Smells [A Men’s Fragrance Review]

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Review

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is the second EDP I’ve had from Tom Ford, with Noir being the first which I got for Christmas in 2013. Grey Vetiver was released in 2009 and the bottle is the same style as some previous Tom Ford bottles from the masculine line.

It’s a flat, ribbed, translucent style with a stylish silver front plate, and is as classy as it smells.

Eton Shirt Review

Tuesday, 10th February, 2015

eton-shirt-review-black-1

Born in Gånghester in Sweden you’ll find a quality shirt maker Eton who’ve been making fine quality shirts for almost 100 years. If you’re looking for a shirt and want it premium made a specific way, then Eton is one of the best choices out there. There’s a vast array of options when you want to find your perfect shirt, you can start at the top with the collar type. There’s a nice seven different types of collar which you can choose from, including a classic cut-away to an extreme cut-away collar, to a button down style and pin collar type. The next decision is to choose the type of fabric; There’s a rich selection available, from Poplins and Oxford, to twill and linens. Each fabric is treated with the upmost care, detail and attention and have a premium feel to them. The next aspect would be to select your favourite fit, and as you’d expect they have all the bases covered, offering classic, contemporary, slim and the increasingly popular slim fit styles.

I selected a solid black shirt from their red ribbon collection which they sent over for me to try out for myself. I love a black shirt, and I have many in my wardrobe. From a fashion point of view a good quality black shirt is as important as a good quality white shirt. Both are staples which you should have in your wardrobe, classic in colour and can be worn with almost anything, in either a casual or formal setting. From opening the box one of the first things which is apparent is the quality of the fabric. This shirt comes in Exeter Poplin which is quite a rich, soft cotton and is extremely soft to touch. Keeping your shirt sharp and crisp is important, and this is very easy to iron and is a really smooth fabric.

The collar style is a cut-away, and is a slim fit which is my favourite type of cut. The detailing is minimal, with same colour stitching and buttons to maintain a elegant look.

Attention to detail is highly important at Eton, and there shirt guides which includes a comprehensive look at their fabrics, collar types and fits is a must-view, you can check it out here.

If you’re looking for a premium quality shirt then Eton is a good choice, you can take a look at their collections and shop on their site here.

New In – Nike Air Max 1: Ultra Moire

Monday, 9th February, 2015

air-max-ultra-moire-1

I couldn’t help myself!

I blogged about the brand new Nike Air Max Ultra Moire last month when they came out, and I fell in love with them. In fact I love them so much that I’ve just got myself a pair! 😛

They were my fashion tip for the month, a great contemporary design from Nike in the Air Max 1 silhouette. They are so nice, sleek, minimal and all round cool stylish trainers from Nike.

One of the first designs they’ve dropped this year, it’s going to be hard to find a nicer pair.

The black and white in the design compliments the other so well, trainers like Air Max are usually really casual and sporty, but you could almost wear these in a more smart-casual look.

The upper is perforated black, with the lower being white. They are so clean I almost don’t want to wear them in this winter, and save them for the milder months 😛

Check out the latest trainer drops if you’re after a fresh pair of sneakers for your feet.
