So apparently it’s the Spring Equinox today, so it should officially be the first day of Spring! π
I have been noticing the lighter nights, and that’s a good thing, because it’s closer to the Summer which I love.
Soon we’ll be putting out clocks forward, and Summer will be here in no time. It will mean I have to swap my wardrobe around, from the Autumn/Winter to Spring/Summer in a few weeks time when the weather gets better.
Can you believe it’s February already? I certainly can’t. It seemed like only the other day we were celebrating Christmas, then New Year, and the start of 2019, and now we’re already one month down. Pretty crazy stuff.
If you’ve put the weather on TV you’ll know we’re definitely in the Winter right now, with record lows in the USA, and the cold and snowy weather has been making it’s presence felt here in Newcastle and the rest of the UK too.
I hope you are well, are you prepared for Christmas? We’ve reached the last weekend before Christmas, I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. It seems like just yesterday it was the Summer, I was in Rome, and then of course it was the World Cup, and that unbelievably hot summer we had in England.
There’s only a few days left until Christmas, and not long for the end of the year either. I think I have everything sorted, presents wrapped, and everything seems to be done for the big day ready for when the big man comes down the chimney π
Today marks the day where you can wear something festive! If you’ve check out my post on Christmas Jumpers there’s a few good ones you can get this year, and since I’ve already got so many, didn’t have to buy a new one for this year.
This year I have gone for my Santa Claws jumper which is mostly grey and red, and comes with the novelty knitted kitten with a Christmas hat. It is from a brand called Tipsy Elves, and I got this a couple of years ago.
Now is the time to get all festive and wear Xmas jumpers! We’ve got 10 days until Christmas Eve, so I’ll be wearing my festive knits on most days, in-keeping with the Christmas spirit.
I got this green jumper ages ago, and I don’t wear it all too often. It’s been so cold lately and I’ve been wearing a lot of knits, jumpers and sweatshirts, so decided to give this a wear. Usually I layer jumpers with t-shirts for a more casual look, but I decided that I’d try pairing it with a shirt. Then I realised if I paired it with my red check shirt, it would look like Hey Arnold style! π
Did you have a good weekend? I had a quiet one, and did not get up to much.Β It’s the start of another week, and it’s another cold one, so time to wrap up. One of my favourite jumpers to wear is this red one which I got at Jaeger so long ago. It’s not just any old wool though, it is cashmere.
I think that roll neck jumpers are cool, and have been fashionable in the last couple of years. It’s taken me a while to get on board, but they do give you something extra for your wardrobe, and you can layer them.
But what if you don’t like wool? Can you get a long sleeve, roll neck T Shirt?
I hope you had a good weekend. It feels kind of weird writing this on a Tuesday rather than a Monday, but that’s kind of what I’ve been doing lately…Last weekend feels like it was so far away!
It was freezing cold, Winter is definitely here! When I was wondering what to wear I was thinking about my overcoat, and even a scarf, but I thought that it wouldn’t actually be too cold, and didn’t bother; Although future nights out this Winter, I’ll be wrapping up with more layers!
How was the weekend for you? To kick off this week for a style post, I’ve gone for a seasonal classic which I have loved for years, my cricket jumper! When it comes to men’s fashion, they’ve been in and out over the years, and if you’re a long time reader, you’ll know I’ve featured them in the past few years.
Although cricket is a Summer sport, since these are a pretty heavy knit, they’re more suited to the Spring and Autumn seasons, when the temperatures go down and you start to feel the cold.
As you know we had an amazing Summer, which was great, and I got to wear so many T Shirts without needing anything else. The sad part is that I hardly wore any shirts, and after buying a couple of new ones, I only wore one or two every now and then.
Now the weather is cooled down, it’s definitely time to wear them, and lucky for me, buffalo checks don’t really have a best season to wear, so I’m taking the opportunity to wear my buffalo check shirt.
