Where did August go?
The summer is officially over, but it feels like it barely started. We definitely didn’t have the weather, but this month it seems that we’re getting August weather.
Still, it was a pretty decent month in terms of fashion and lifestyle on the blog, with plenty of updates to read.
Last month I talked about TV, fragrances and how to style your summer wardrobe.
These are the highlights and the roundup for fashion and lifestyle for August 2023.
How many pairs of jeans is too many?
You’re probably reading this thinking you either have too many jeans, or you want to buy more.
There’s not a magic number, and it depends on your own personal style, and what kind of look you’re going for.
When it comes to different styles, colours and occasions, there is an optimal number to go for for a complete wardrobe.
Can you wear a blazer with a T-shirt?
The answer is yes you can, and it can look really stylish. If you want to create a good balance between smart and casual, this combination is a way to do it.

A secret was let out a little earlier than it was apparently supposed to be…That is Adidas and Newcastle are back together again.
From the Newcastle United Amazon Documentary, episodes were mistakenly put online before they were supposed to, the secret came out which led to Adidas social media releasing a not so cryptic tweet on their social media.

I have finished watching Cruel Summer season 2 and it was brilliant!
The second season finally got a release just a few weeks ago, so obviously I had to watch it and I wasn’t disappointed.
Here’s what you need to know, without any spoilers. p.s If you liked the first season you should like this one.
The Summer is here which means that it’s barbecue season! If you go out on a Summer’s day, then you’ve probably experienced the smell in the air, it’s something I love and you can always identify it with the Summer.
Even though we don’t get much Sun here in England, and especially in Newcastle, there’s still plenty of times to either invite your mates round and host a BBQ, or you’ll be invited to go to one.

This month’s latest trainer drop for August is later than usual, and there’s a reason for that. I haven’t seen many trainers which have really caught my eye.
There have been a few pairs, but trainer releases for August has been fairly quiet.
Still, I have found a couple of pair, and the few I have found are fairly cool. There’s two from Nike, and a special edition from Adidas that really makes a statement.

We’re getting closer and closer to autumn, so now is the time to start thinking about an autumn scent. Viktor & Rolf have released a new fragrance from their Spicebomb line, Viktor & Rolf Infrared Eau De Parfum.
They have sent over a sample for me to check out, and it’s a scent I’ve been looking forward to trying.

From tracksuit managers to the suited and booted, there’s a lot of style and fashion in the dugout and on the touchline these days.
With the money in football, there’s no reason why the managers shouldn’t be looking their best and dressing the part.
The Premier League 2023-24 season is here, but with all of the football and the previous season ending late, it feels like it’s never gone away.
The three promoted teams this season are Burnley, who have bounced straight back, Sheffield United and for the very first time, Luton Town.
