Adidas Mexico Away Shirt 2026 Review – I Finally Got It!

The World Cup might over, but buying and wearing World Cup shirts obviously isn’t. I got another shirt I loved from the World Cup, The Adidas Mexico 2026 Away Shirt.

I had my eye on this shirt before the World Cup even started, and now I have it.

Here’s everything you need to know about this World Cup shirt.

Before a ball was kicked at the World Cup, Adidas released the World Cup shirts for all their football teams, including Mexico. They were one of the few teams who had 3 kits – The green home shirt with a Mexican graphic, a clean white away shirt, and a black shirt with a tonal graphic.

I loved all three, but my favourite in the beginning was the away shirt. I just love the design.

The Adidas Mexico Away Shirt Design

If there’s one word to describe the design it would be clean. A fresh, clean, brilliant white colour throughout the body the shirt shirt. It just looks really sleek.

The white actually have a very slight Aztec style triangular pattern in it, a tonal colour which is really hard to see. It’s there, but only when you’re close up and under light.

Then there’s the trim of the shirt, which really sets it off.

First up the V-neck collar. Dark green with a red trim, which is complimented by the cuffed sleeves of the same colour and design.

The colours are finished off with the Adidas 3 stripes down the sides of the shoulders, and it just looks brilliant.

To the front there’s the newest Mexico badge, which is alongside the retro and traditional Adidas Trefoil badge, both in the dark green.

Both badges are embroidered, with the Trefoil being stitched into the shirt, and the Mexico badge being an embroidered patch.

To the back and nape of the neck There’s the “Somos Mexico” aka we are Mexico written in an Aztec Mexican style, a really nice touch.

I love that kind of detailing on the shirt, it just gives it that finishing touch that makes it more special.

The Fit & Quality Of The Adidas Mexico Shirt

I like the fit of the Mexico shirt, and I would say it fits like all my other modern Adidas football shirts.

It’s kind of semi fitted, meaning that it’s a little bit of a slim fit, but not so much as you’d call it tight. You also wouldn’t call it a baggy 90’s style football shirt, it fits just right.

The quality is the same as modern football shirts too. It has that silky sheen type of feeling to the polyester, not thin but not super thick like older shirts.

This is the standard replica version, so it has the Climacool fabric technology that Adidas uses in all of their 2026 football shirts.

Overall I am really happy with this shirt. I followed Mexico as much as I could in this World Cup, they were one of the hosts and I like to see them do well.

A really good shirt to add to the collection. My second Mexican football shirt, if you count the Tigres shirt I also bought recently.

I hope I can get the Mexico home shirt, because that really did grow on my in the World Cup, and I think it was one of the best shirts on display.
