With a focus on quality timepieces and craftsmanship, Page And Cooper are a watch specialist with a difference. Watches are carefully selected in both brand and style, and fulfil key points of criteria including bring well designed, beautifully made, rare, long lasting and importantly offer value for money.
One thing I like about a quality timepiece is exclusivity, I want luxury along with wearing something on my wrist that others will not be wearing. Page And Cooper find quality watches made by small, independent companies which you’ll not find on the high street, utilize traditional watchmakers workmanship.
I have picked out a few of my favourites from their casual collection, which have caught my eye.
Back in the mid 90’s fashion was all about sportswear, I was a teenager and lived in the stuff. The brand which was one of the most coveted was Kappa. They made football shirts for huge European teams such as Juventus and Barcelona, and general sportswear too.
Everyone was into Kappa, and it was pretty expensive for clothing when we were teens back in the mid 90’s. I remember owning a few pieces, a tracksuit being one, as well as a zipped sweatshirt being fond memories.
I heard that Kappa were making a comeback, and were selling some of their old retro style tracksuits, as well as bringing back the brand for the new generation. I actually got the tracksuit last year, and did a small feature about it on the blog.
Here I am styling it with some other 90’s and retro greats; Converse Chuck Taylor trainers, and the equally iconic Adidas Originals T Shirt. The tracksuit I previously owned as a teen was almost the same, but had the red background track pattern down the sleeves of the jacket and sides of the trousers. Still, this navy and white version was an absolute classic, and brings back a lot of good memories.
90’s style and trends are back, and I love 90’s nostalgia whether that’s fashion or pop culture, and Kappa was a bit of both. It is of course not for everyone, and probably cringe-worthy for those who think they are into high fashion because they’ve once bought something from [insert designer name here], but it brings back memories of a great era that’s what it’s all about π
So yesterday we went out, had a few games of bowling, pool and then ended up going for a few drinks in the town. I never go bowling, you can count how many times I’ve been bowling in my adult life on one hand We got 2 games & 2 drinks for Β£10, you can’t really argue with that!Β I have a great technique which is the “minimal looking effort” technique…No run up at all, just bowl the ball as accurate as I can. It sort of works, and in the first game on the very first ball I got a strike! That’s why I took this photo, it did not get much better. The 2nd game we had a few more people, and I wasn’t last, which was pretty surprising. (I am “X”, my friend entered my name as Xavi since I love Spain so much π )
When we went to the town we played some pool first which is more my game, then had a few drinks at a couple of bars. We went to Harry’s, Browns, Revolution and Metropolis, and ended up in Cosy Joes which is bizarrely where we’ve been a few times now as a last bar. There was no plan to stay out, but once we get to the town we inevitably end up staying out π
One of the biggest highlights of the NE1 Motor Show has to be that there was the Red Bull F1 car to be seen, and it looked so good. The only previous time I have seen an F1 car this close was in the Ferrari store in London; They were not welcoming, had horrible security and stopped anyone taking photos. However Red Bull are amazing and nice! You could get up close to the car and take photos too which is what part of the experience is all about. There were other racing cars there too, from Aston Martin and Lotus.

One of the highlights of the NE1 Motor Show has got to have been the sports cars and super cars. They were out in force, with some of the best manufacturers and the best models being shown. I saw everything from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche and Mercedes; With models such as the Aventador, SLS and Vanquish being there. You don’t need to here it from me, here’s all the pics π

There were classic cars, sports cars and super cars at the NE1 Motor Show on Grey Street, if you like a bit more prestige then the next thing you’ll be looking at is style and luxury. There was a great selection of luxury and prestige cars, from Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, BMW, Bentley and Mercedes.

At the NE1 Motor Show there were a lot of the new sports cars and super cars which I love, but then there were also a ton of classic sports cars which take me back to my childhood! Classics from Ferrari and Lamborghini, and how can I forget the Lotus Esprit, the first time I saw this car was from the iconic computer game Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge! It was like being a kid and playing old computer games like the original Gran Turismo, but seeing these cars all together and up close was pretty spectacular π The best of British from TVR, Italian Ferraris & Lambos, American Muscle courtesy of Corvette and much, much more.

You can check out the rest of the cars and photos I’ve taken at the NE1 Motor Show here. There was a F1 simulator which looked really cool, but I guess the line was really long so I did not bother with even attempting to get on it! π There’s cars from Mill Volvo and Audi’s from Benfield, Nissan GTR, Infiniti Q50 and BMW i3. There’s also a few crowd shots, everyone seemed to have had a really good time at the show, hopefully this will be an annual thing π

Today I was out at the NE1 Newcastle Motor Show, and it was an amazing little event. It was a showcase of a huge amount of cars, from car companies, garages, brands and even private collectors brought their pride and joy along with them. It was hosted on Grey Street, not only is this one of Newcastle’s greatest streets, but it was also voted best street in Britain. There’s cars for everyone, from classic cars to retro sports cars, new prestige cars and super cars. Infiniti were there too with a car, and brought along the F1 Red Bull car from 2014.
There were so many cars there I have had to split them up in different posts. Here’s post 1, classic cars.

Today the weather has been great once again, and I decided to take advantage of it and take a couple pics of some of my new clothing. I usually take pictures either outside my house or inside which is really convenient, but it’s not the most picaresque,Β and quite repetitive for you all to see; I’ll try for better/more locations πΒ This is my Mango jacket which I love, and featured before. It’s a summer linen jacket, and is super thin and really light, so is perfect for the summer heat; You get the benefits of the style and don’t feel uncomfortably hot when wearing it (of course when it gets too hot it’s too hot, it’s too hot for anything! π ). I also wore a brand new Jaeger shirt, in fact it’s so new I have not even had a chance to feature it on the blog yet! I should be featuring it next week π My trainers are grey Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars, sunglasses obviously Ray Ban, and Jeans are from Nudie Jeans.
I also went out on a run…I have started going out for jogs or runs on an evening; Usually I have to go out during the day otherwise it gets dark/cold, but when it’s summer we get so much light and it’s really warm…especially tonight, it was rather hot! The downside of running in the summer is the amount of little flies there are…Does anyone have tips to combat them flying at your face, in your mouth or nose?! π It’s horrible!
