Aimé Leon Dore Spring/Summer 18 Drop 2: The Edit

Fashion, Mens Fashion Collections
Saturday, 28th April, 2018

I saw a preview of the Aimé Leon Dore Spring/Summer 18 collection a while back, and it’s made it’s way into the UK, and is available to buy now from stockists.

I’ve not covered much from the brand, and it could be a new one to some of you. In a nutshell, Aimé Leon Dore is a brand which was born in Queens New York and is a premium streetwear label. Key pieces are minimalist and clean in design, something which I’ve really embraced in the past few years. We’ve had a lot of Scandi-style from the European brands which I love, and this is another one from America which has a similar aesthetic to those.

For this season, there’s plenty of pieces which cover the pastel hue of the colour palette, something which I really like. There’s toned down colours, the staple black, white, navy and greys as well as some bright colours which really pop.

Here’s my edit and some of the pieces which caught my eye.

Corduroy & Twill Jackets

If there’s one item of outerwear you should buy for Summer, it’s a denim jacket. These three jackets are a trio of good options. The pastel pink colour is for those who are really looking to make a statement, with the cream colour which can brighten up your look. The black is a twill jacket in a different style to the others, but looks the part and is of course the classic colour which can go with anything. These come in at just under £400.

T Shirts

It’s the most basic item you can own, and probably the most worn for any man, it’s the T-shirt. You can get this staple piece in an updated colour for Summer, with dusty pink, the red which pops and pastel yellow, another favourite colour for Summer. They’re produced in Canada and screen printed with the text logo in a small type, branding which doesn’t scream and shout. These will set you back £60.

Sweat Shorts

One of my favourite things to wear while lounging around in the Summer are sweat shorts. They’re comfortable and keep you cool when you just want to chill. I’ve picked out the same colours as the tees, but as with the tees, there’s plenty other colours available in the sweat shorts. They’re French Terry, and come with the trademark small letter branding to the leg. These come in at £119.

Other pieces from the collection include pocket tees, sweat trousers, sweat shirts and hoodies, and follow the same colour patterns to compliment the rest of the pieces which I’ve featured above.

You can get these from shops such as END and Harvey Nichols online now, or check out the official Aimé Leon Dore site.
