Adidas Germany Home 1994 Reissue Shirt by Michael 84

One of the best football shirt designs of all time, and I have it. This is the Adidas Germany 94 Home Shirt.

This is the reissue which Adidas re-released earlier this year, and it’s brilliant.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Adidas have started to re-release some of their most iconic football shirts from back in the day. I’ve already got the Spain 96 reissue shirt which I loved, and actually own an original.

Since Germany are leaving Adidas for Nike in 2027, this was the last year that the for the Adidas-Germany partnership, but they have gone out with a bang.

They’ve re-issued a ton of Germany football shirts. There’s the green away 1990 and 94 shirts, shirts from 96, 2006, 2014 and this one, the Germany home 1994 shirt.

I remember a little bit of Italia 90, but my first World Cup when I watched most matches was USA 94, and that’s where this German shirt is from.

I liked this shirt then, but obviously never got it. Fast forward to now and I was so happy to be able to buy it.

The Germany 94 Home Shirt Design

The design of the 94 Germany home shirt is iconic. It’s my favourite ever Germany shirt, and this is why.

It has the diamond and chevron pattern which covers the top quarter of the shirt, including running on the sleeves which looks fantastic.

The pattern is the colours of the German flag, gold, red and black, and has a solid and spray paint effect in the geometric shapes which looks good.

To the front the design is true to it’s heritage, with the old school Adidas wordmark branding to the front, and traditional German Deutscher Fussball-bund crest with the eagle.

All the branding is embroidered on to the shirt, just like the good old days of 1994.

The sleeves have not gone forgotten, with the angular DFB logo design embroidered on to it.

How The Germany 94 Shirt Fits

The Germany 94 home shirt fits exactly how you would expect it to for a shirt from those times.

It’s got quite a loose and baggy fit, but it’s not too big and not oversized. I am happy with the fit, possibly ever so slightly short, but generally speaking it’s a good regular fit shirt.

The elasticated ribbed V-neck collar makes a really good fit around the neck, and of course the colours make it look good too.

Is The Germany 94 Home Shirt Worth It?

The Adidas Germany 94 reissue shirt is definitely worth it, if you’re a fan of Germany, you’re a football fan or you’re a football shirt collector.

I already have the Germany 1990 reissue goalkeeper shirt which I love to wear, this one will be no different.

All the details from the original are there, just like from my Spain reissue shirt. It’s as true of a remake as you’re going to get, and if you’re into football shirt culture, you’ll love this.

This is going to be a football shirt I’ll enjoy wearing for years.
