If you are a regular reader of my blog you’ll know I love indie brands, companies and start ups. They are so innovative and creative, and bring people together to both see a new idea and for supporters to back them. The guys over at Wunderkey got in touch with me about their product, Wunderkey.

It takes a simple idea, a holder for your keys, and turns it into a sleek and fashionable accessory, an elegant keyholder for all, or some of your keys. It works the same way as a Swiss army knife, and it looks really simple to use. You load in your keys, fold them away and that’s that. Once your keys are in they can stay in for good, or you can swap out, or remove keys really easily. The practicality of this means you can add a lot of keys; The standard product let’s you add 4, and there’s add-ons which means you can add more if you have a lot of keys.

It’s not only for keys, the add-ons include gadgets you’d love to have with you including a USB pen drive, or handy bottle opener.

I really do like the idea of this, I have a few keyrings with my keys on, and it takes me a few moments to find the key I want. Their promo video also highlights running and keys jingling; That’s something I can definitely relate to. When I go on a run people can usually hear me coming which is kind of good, it’s like an alarm to let them know I’m coming  But I would rather they didn’t make any noise, the Wunderkey solves that problem.

This is a really good idea, and the guys have already reached their goal on Kickstarter, but have a few stretch goals for a red, and even goal Wunderkey. You can back project and get yourself a Wunderkey for €19 (early bird offer, still a few left) or €24. If you just want to show your support, you can back with €2 or go for a gold package for €50.

It really is the Swiss Army Knife of key holders 🙂

  1. Liz Said,

    Hi

I like the look of the Wunderkey and am thinking of buying one but you have in your picture a car key fob – how do you attach that to the Wunderkey? I have for example a miniature LED torch on my keyring and would like to be able to attach that to the Wunderkey. The WUNDERKEY Ultimate Package has a small loop piece for key ring with it but I cannot work out how it attaches!

  2. Michael Said,

    Hi Liz,
Thanks for your comments. You’re right! I don’t think you can put the key on it, however I have seen some people using a metal loop piece which can be used for additional keyrings or a car key fob in this case. I think that’s probably the only way. I know if you buy this from Wunderkey on Amazon, it states in the description you get a small loop piece with it.
    Hope that helps 🙂

  3. Liz Said,

    Hi Michael

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I have seen the loop on Amazon which is why I was hoping you could tell me how it worked! 🙂 Oh well I will put it on the back burner for now.

    Thanks for your help.

    Liz 🙂
