This Week's Must Have Menswear - 29th March 2019

Happy Friday!

It’s the final Friday of March, which means we’re heading into April, and already well into the Spring season. There’s a transition of weather and seasons, a new month and also mid-season sales going on with some brands.

I’ve included a broad spectrum of clothing in this week’s must have menswear, including a jacket, sweater, trainers, a hoodie and a T-shirt.

Here’s what’s been going on and what you can get your hands after payday! 🙂

Nike Air Max 90 Trainers – £99.95

Air Max 90 White Obsidian Mist and Armoury Trainers

Air Max 90 trainers aren’t exactly a new thing, but that’s not a bad thing either. If you don’t know much about the trainer world, the big brands such as Nike have a few models (or silouettes as they’re usually known) and then sell various colours over the year, which the sneakerheads call “colourways”.

With that said, this is a new colourway which Nike have released recently. I love the combination of these colours, and I think they work really well for Spring and Summer. They are fairly low key in colour and style, but still have three colours which all work great together. The colours are called white, obsidian mist and armoury, and I think they look great.

Allsaints Hoodie – £61

Allsaints Mode Merino Hoodie

I have been looking at this hoodie for a while, and Allsaints have put it in their mid-season sale, making it a pretty good deal. They call it their Mode Merino hoodie, and is made from 100% merino wool.

It’s a zip up, which is something which I really like right now. The buttons ups are cool and I prefer these more for a smarter, going out occasion, but when it comes to a chilled out piece of knitwear for casual times when you still want to look smart, I do like the zip up. It’s on sale in selected colours, including this one which they call iron blue marl.

Right now it’s £61 in selected colours at Allsaints here. (other colours are currently full price)

Calvin Klein Monogram T Shirt – £45

CK Calvin Klein Monogram T Shirt

It goes without saying that T Shirts are one of the staples of your wardrobe, and for me and most guys, it’s the one item which you’ll buy more than any others. Monogramming is something which can be done badly or look good, and I think this Calvin Klein monogram T Shirt falls under the good category.

The monogram pattern is a really nice size, not too small but small enough to create a nice effect where it won’t be readable from a distance. When you do get up close and personal, it’s the trademark CK logo which Calvin Klein are known for.

Acne Studios Multi Stripe Sweater – £250

Acne Studios Multi Stripe Colour Sweater

The perfect infusion of Spring is colour and knitwear, keeping you warm as well as bright. This sweater caught my eye, which is from Swedish brand Acne Studios. The sweater is made from 100% wool, and comes with stripes in multiple colours, which they call their Nai Block Stripe sweater.

Burberry Neoprene Jacket – £1,090

Burberry Neoprane Jacket

My stand out expensive piece this week is a jacket from Burberry. If there’s one thing you may need for April, it’s a jacket. April showers are a thing, and this jacket should get you through any rain with ease. Why? It’s made of neoprene, also known as modal, or you may know it as Scuba.

A few years ago, lots of fashion and designer brands were using neoprene in some pieces, which has the obvious plus point of holding up really well in rain. So, this Burberry Neoprene jacket should be perfect for this season. I really like the colour, it has a mandarin collar and is a short bomber length fit, which I really like.

£1,090At Harrods

That is this week’s must have menswear, the fashion Friday five pieces which you should be looking right now! As mentioned, there’s a few brands with mid-season sales on, including Allsaints which has one of their pieces here, so it was hard to just pick 5 pieces. Since there’s sales, and it’s the end of the month, it’s a great time to have a shop around and get yourself some new clobber if you’re looking for something to wear.

Let me know what you think of these pieces, and if there’s something you think should appear in the future, please let me know and it might make it in a future weekly roundup.

Have a great weekend 🙂
