Supersonic – Oasis Documentary Blu Ray

Oasis Supersonic Review

Hey guys!

I hope you are well. The latest film I watched was a documentary style film, and it was Supersonic, the Oasis story. I was not a huge Oasis fan, but I did like them at their peak, the Brit Pop era is a part of my childhood so I’ll always look back on that with fondness. Back in the mid-90’s Oasis were such a big deal, and I had What’s The Story (Morning Glory) and played it to death, it was an album which had so many great tracks on it. That was unusual at the time, most artists who put albums out had a couple of hits which were singles, and they sold albums with a lot of filler on, but that wasn’t really the case with What’s The Story which had tracks like Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger which are both still loved today.

The film takes a look back at Oasis, from the days it began through it’s hayday, Knebworth and everything. The film is shot with archive footage as well as using more up to date voice overs from everyone in Oasis, and those closest to the band including the Gallagher’s family.

It is a really good film, even if you don’t like Oasis but you want to get an idea of what 90’s music and life was all about you can get a sense of it all in the film. If you are a fan of the music then it’s a must watch, and gives you an insight into the good and bad times.
