Happy Friday guys! I am so glad that the weekend is almost here.
For today’s outfit I have gone for a roll neck jumper with a leather jacket. I really like this outfit combination for this time of year, here’s the details on this combo.
Shearling jackets, fleece jackets and teddy bear coats. These have been on my mind for several weeks, and I’ve thought about getting one. They’re definitely on trend right now, and there’s a lot of options out there.
How many items of clothing can you say you bought years ago, and not only still own today, but still wear? My Canada Goose jacket which I got is certainly one of them. I got this jacket way back in 2010, when this blog was starting to take it’s shape, and It was one of the most exciting things I wrote about back then.
It’s a brand renowned for it’s quality, and also infamous for being expensive. When I got my Canada Goose coat I was pretty certain that this would last me a long time. Not only in terms of style and fashion, but in terms of build quality, I knew that it was going to be my proper Winter coat for years to come.
How has my Chilliwack Bomber stacked up 8 years later? Pretty well? No, I think it’s a lot better than that.
It seems like forever since I last posted a style type of post, so here is a style edit! As you know I recently got some Levi’s Ringer Tees and I love them. I haven’t really worn them until now, and I really love how they fit and feel.
I hope you are well, the weather is turning and we’re really starting to get into Autumn right about now. That means a bit of a change up in the wardrobe, wearing more knits and sweats, and less Summer clothing.
It also means a change over of jackets, from my denim jackets to leather.
Spring is now in full swing, which means warmer weather, but it’s also the time of April showers, and a jacket or coat is still needed when you want to go out. BHS have a great range of jackets for this season, and I’ve been working with them to let you know about their range of jackets for the Spring, and I have styled one up for the blog.
I really love suede jackets as a fashion trend for the Spring, as well as suede for Autumn. In terms of the weather, Autumn and Spring are the perfect seasons for wearing a Spring jacket. It’s not cold enough for a Winter coat, and it’s not quite hot enough for a summer blazer or jacket.
The only thing you have to be careful about is rain, suede’s natural enemy, although there are suede protectors on the market which you can get from a variety of places.
Autumn is a really good season for jackets of any kind. First of all since it’s after summer it’s getting cold, and gets progressively colder, which means a jacket goes from a casual item you may throw on, to a piece of clothing which you can’t leave the house without. There’s a huge amount of different jackets to wear, from a traditional leather jacket to a cotton bomber, a nylon light jacket or a light quilted jacket, there’s plenty on offer. However a favourite of mine for Autumn has to be a suede jacket.
I got this suede jacket last time round from Nelly. It’s by Jofama from the King 1 line, a Swedish fashion house specialising in premium fashion and leather. It’s a navy blue suede jacket in biker style, and I just love it. To wear it feels really premium and luxurious, the fit is brilliant and there’s lots of detailing such as the diamond quilted shoulders.
Suede keeps you warm enough when the temperatures are starting to get a little bit lower, and this style will keep you looking cool too 😉 Be wary of the rain, suede is not good when it rains, you can get protective sprays, but if you know it’s going to rain you probably want to choose another jacket.
I took these photos at Tynemouth Beach which I have never featured on the blog before. I forget that living in the North East we have so many great locations, the city is so good, there’s plenty of idyllic spots and we have a few blue flag beaches too!
I wore the jacket with my 90’s reissued Calvin Klein T-Shirt, A.P.C denim and Ultra Moire Air Max 1, all pieces which are favourites of mine 🙂 (Watch by D&G and Ray Bans, it was sunny! 😛 )
