Must Have Menswear 7th June 2019

Happy Friday guys!

I am so glad Friday is finally, here, I’ve been so busy with lots of stuff, and there’s also a little bit of international football to be watching too 😉 This week’s must have menswear has a bit of a summer vibe, as it should, we’re into June!

If you’ve never read this before, this is where I pick out five pieces of fashion which has caught my eye in the past week. In this week’s edit I have a couple of tees which are bargains, a classic shirt, a throwback T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses.

Here’s my favourite pieces in this week’s must have menswear.

Calvin Klein Sunglasses – £139

Calvin Klein Sunglasses With Squared Frames

I’ll kick this week’s off with the fashion accessory which really made me take note this week. It’s the number 1 piece for me, and it’s not clothing, rather an accessory in the way of sunglasses. These are squared style frame sunglasses from Calvin Klein.

Now, if you ask me for advice on sunglasses, I would say that the only brand you’ll ever need is Ray Ban, and there’s only 3 styles to pick from; Aviators, Wayfarers and Clubmasters. I will probably always stand by that, but what if you’ve already got these, or you want something different from the crowd?

I really love these offerings from Calvin Klein. The metal frames and arms, the shape of the lenses, there’s nothing I don’t like about them. They even come in different colours, should you want something a little different.

Calvin Klein£139

Polo Sport Classic Tee – £69

Polo Sport Logo T Shirt Classic From The 90's

Second on the must have list is my second favourite item of the week, serious retro vibes with the Polo Sport Tee. Ralph Lauren recently released two 90’s themed limited edition collections with the silver and denim lines which I’ve featured this week.

This T-Shirt is not part of those collections, but as I was browsing around, I found it. I love this design, and I love everything about the good old 90’s fashion trends, so it’s a great welcome back for me. Hopefully they will release a navy blue version, along with a sweatshirt sporting the same logo.

The downside is the price, this nice piece of nostalgia doesn’t come cheap. It’s £69 which is significantly more than similar pieces from the other American brands, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Still, if you want to rewind back to the good old days, it’s a cool way to do it.

Ralph Lauren£69

Gant Stripe T Shirt – £28

Gant Stripe T Shirt Blue And White SS19

I love stripes for summer, and I came across this stripe T Shirt from Gant. It comes in dark blue and white stripes which are wide, and are really cool. It’s not exactly that nordic style, but the blue and white does make it feel like a seaside, beach and summer kind of design. Blue and white is always a clean look, and with contrasting colours it’s something different to a solid colour tee option. Best of all it’s currently in the sale, so you can snap this up right now if you’re quick.

GANT£28

Gant Bretton Striped Polo Shirt – £40

Gant Bretton Striped Polo Shirt

Another great item in the sale at Gant is this Bretton Striped Polo Shirt. If you want something smarter than a tee but less stuffy than a shirt, the polo is one of the ways to go. Rather than a solid colour, this one comes with thin bretton stripes which is really tastefully done. This one is will get you that nautical look, with it’s navy blue base and white horizontal stripes.

GANT£40

Tommy Hilfiger Slim Fit Stretch Shirt – £60

Tommy Hilfiger White Stretch Shirt

There’s nothing more classic than a crisp white shirt, so if you’re in the market for one, Tommy Hilfiger has you covered. This comes in my favourite style of fit, a slim fit, and has some stretch in it too, which will aid to give you the perfect fit.

If you want to show off a little branding this is the shirt to help you do it, with a small Tommy Hilfiger trademark flag embroidered to the front breast.

Zalando – £60

And that’s it for this week’s must have menswear. Let me know what you think, and you can check out more of my fashion tips if you’re looking for advice on what to buy, or how to style your clothes for any occasion. As always, if there’s something you want featured in the future, please let me know and I’ll take a look.

Have a great weekend! 🙂
