Uniqlo x McDonalds Collaboration for 50th Big Mac Birthday

Happy Birthday Big Mac! The good news is that Uniqlo and McDonalds have created a capsule collaboration collection for this, the biggest of supersized birthdays; The bad news is that it’s a collab with Uniqlo Japan, and not worldwide.

This isn’t the first time fast food has met fast fashion this year, with plenty of logos from food and drink making it onto the tees and tops of high street fashion labels. This little collection comes with 6 printed T Shirts, available for 1,500 YEN, which is just under a tenner in real money.

The first tee consists of the Mcdonalds wording in an arch shape, with a graphic of a Big Mac burger on a grey tee. There’s another two designs which celebrate the big 50th with the list of what goes into making the burger, along with another burger graphic. This one comes in either red or black.

There’s another with a pocket graphic of the burger which comes on a white tee. The final two designs come in either a yellow or white T-shirt, and has everyone’s favourite Maccy D’s combination, a burger and fries.

If you are in Japan and are able to buy these, you even get a voucher to get yourself a bit of McDonalds with your new shirt. Just don’t get ketchup on it. You can check this release out over at Uniqlo Japan here.

What do you think of this collection? Something cool or not?
