As you know from reading my blog, I love the 90’s and the 90’s trends in fashion are still going strong in 2017. One of the biggest brands back then which has made a successful comeback has been Kappa, and they have a new capsule collection release which is exclusive to Urban Outfitters. When I found out, I had to feature it on the blog, there’s a few really great pieces from it.
The collection features the usual Kappa trademarks all over the clothing, and brings retro 90’s style into your wardrobe. From the iconic Kappa branding tape down the sleeves and leg pants, to the logo to the front of the shirts. It will add that sporty element that you may be looking at getting from your outfit this Spring/Summer, and the small collection comprises of some T-shirts, tracksuit bottoms, shorts, jacket and hooded top in some classic colours.
First of all I have to talk about the one piece which is not a classic colour, in fact an on-trend colour for this season which is pink. I’ve spoke so much about the men’s pink trend already, and now you can jump on board in sportwear style with a Kappa T-shirt. The contrasting taping on the arms works well, and has the logo to the chest. If you’d prefer a more classic colour the tee is also available in navy and white, with these coming in at £28 each. Get them here.
For the lower half of your body these a couple of pairs of shorts, and a pair of tracksuit bottoms which go way back to the 90’s. The shorts come in either navy or white, and are of a longer, basketball style loose fit. Great for relaxing or completing an outfit for Summer, they’ll set you back £35. Shop for these here.
The trousers are special, why? Do you remember those Adidas “popper” tracksuit bottoms? Well they are yet to make a comeback, despite myself and so many other’s wanting them to get a re-release. This is the next best thing, Kappa have created this pair of track bottoms which have the same button-snap bottoms. You can roll back the years in these for £45 here.
The hoodie with the large logo to the front looks really nice, it’s something which I really like and really makes a statement about this trend. You can pick it up in white for £55 here. The simple track jacket is synonymous with the Kappa brand, and they’ve got a traditional style jacket, in navy complete with the taping and Kappa logo to the front too. You can get this for £55 here.
Last up I have to mention the polyester long sleeve tees. Available in either white or navy they have a tonal stripe to them, once again with all the hallmarks you’d expect to see. These are £40 each here.
The 90’s trend looks set to continue in 2017, with all the big brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger continuing their renaissance in this which was a great time in fashion. Check out the full Kappa x Urban Outfitters Exclusives here.
