So ages ago I got Bad Neighbours and I thought it was an OK film, and after another watch I liked it more, and do think that it’s a good film. I always thought the problem with that film was that it was quite slow to get going. I finally got the sequel, Bad Neighbours 2 after seeing clips and the trailers, it looked good, so was looking forward to watching it.
It picks up from where the last film left off, Mac (Seth Rogan) and Kelly (Rose Byrne) have a house with the next door one being empty, they’re selling that house and moving into a new place as they’re having another baby. They sold it with 30 day escrow, so the buyers can change their mind at any time. What happens? Yes, predictably college kids move in next door, but it’s not a frat house, instead it’s a sorority with college freshmen. It’s lead by Shelby (Chloe Grace Moretz) who learns that sororities aren’t allowed to party like a frat, and wants to change it, so starts Kappa Nu and recruits a few members and co-founders to get started.
The old frat boys are back, mostly making cameo appearances apart from Teddy (Zac Efron) who’s life has not moved on where the other members of Delta Psi Beta have. Teddy then comes across Shelby and agrees to mentor the new sorority and give them his knowledge of how to run a house. The film goes from there.
I will not spoil the rest of the film if you haven’t seen it, but I can say that I really liked it and thought that it could be even better than the first. It has lots of humour and is a really good watch.
