Eurovision – My Favourite Tracks Through The Years

Friday, 13th May, 2011

So its Eurovision tomorrow, are you excited?! I sort of am, I think the UK will do well, they have a good song for a change, so you never know.

There have been some good songs in Eurovision past, I have actually loved some and still listen to them today, and others I have just liked.

So I will go through some Eurovision songs from the past which I have liked.

OK the first I will say is “Satellite” by Lena which won last year. Its not a favourite, but I have listened to it in the past year since it won, it is quite good. She does have a very weird English accent though πŸ˜›

Also from last year, “Drip Drop” by Safura from Azerbaijan. I LOVE this, and still listen to it now πŸ˜€ I actually love the song, I do still play it lots, it really should have won.

I also LOVE this song. Its from Spain, Beth – Dime. I loved this song when I was on holiday, I never ever knew it was from Eurovision until years later. But it was, and its good πŸ˜‰

Hero by Cherlotte Perelli for Sweden – I liked this song a little when I heard it, then I liked it a lot. It is a good pop song.

This is Kate Ryan – Je T’adore for Belgium. This song did not qualify from the Semi Finals!! What a disgrace! It was a big story at the time as Kate Ryan is a proper music star from Belgium and has had loads of hits which I like. This is a song I like, and listen to before and after Eurovision.

Sertab Erener – Every Way That I Can for Turkey. I did like this song for a long time, it won Eurovision for Turkey in 2003. It still sounds good πŸ˜€

What can you say, its a classic! Still being played today in the 90s bars everywhere (or in Newcastle at least) its the song from Eurovision I have heard the most, (well it is 15 years old!) from 1996, Gina G – Ohh Ahh Just A Little Bit. And what a great video it is too! πŸ˜‰ She sung for the UK, but is Australian.

I am sorry if I have forgotton some, but those are the ones I can remember of the top of my head.

What do you think? Do you have any favourites?
