Canada Goose Coat – Where Can I Get One?

Fashion
Saturday, 25th September, 2010

It seems to be really strange, but its so hard to find a UK stockist for a Canada Goose coat! On their official site there are hardly any stockists, maybe 30 or so, but thats UK-Wide! So not a lotΒ of choice. The only places i know of online who do them are ASOS, and at the moment they dont have much on offer, only a few jackets in a few sizes, and not a good colour.

There doesnt seem to be a stockist in Newcastle, and only a few in London, but i am not going down there any time soon.

I wrote last year i was going to get one, well now i am. Its definitely the weather for one now, I was out today, and it was really cold, not t-shirt weather thats for sure!

This is the only one ASOS have which is any good. Its a decent size, i am a Medium but could have large in a jacket maybe, i dont really know since i havent tried one. I want a dark colour i.e. black or navy, this is the only one they have which is a grey/blue colour. Its counted as a jacket and not a coat, i have seen some of their “expedition” coats, they are huge and not needed for the UK, its cold but its not the North Pole!

  1. P Cooper Said,

Hi, I purchased my Snow Goose heli arctic parka on the net from Canada 3years ago. Yes they appear to be big because the Goose down puffs up with air when shaken, this is the ultimate insulation. We may not be at the North Pole but you don’t need to be, to freeze to death. The temperatures this winter so far have been below -20, lower in Scotland, try that trapped in a car or truck or setting off on foot and you may not survive. In the Winter I would not be without my Heli anywhere in the UK its a life saver!! If I may advise you, buy genuine Snow Goose, allways enquire from intended seller, “are they authorised retailers” beware of Chinese crap, like allmost any copies of western goods they are inferior,Where your life depends on it there is no compromise. Good Luck and Happy New Year

  3. Johnny Said,

    Hello Michael,

I was in exactly same position as you ie wanting to buy my first Canada Goose but could find very little available here in the UK. Eventually I found a Yorkville Parka black at W Slack and Sons in Mansfield, being unsure of my size I decided to make the 110 mile journey up the M1 from London. It was a journey well worth the time as it fitted perfectly and due to the cold winter weather we had in November & December it had plenty of use. It has also been on a ski hoiliday to Pila in Italy where it was great to wear on the slopes, amazingly warm with just a t-shirt under.
I want to add to my CG collection and really like the Chateau Parka, on my wishlist for next winter!

I would like to urge people like P Cooper above to beware of the fake CG sites from the far east…if it looks too good to be true then buyer beware!

    Best wishes

    Johnny

  4. Michael Said,

    Hello Johnny,
Thanks for reading my blog. I had an updated post, and I finally did get one πŸ˜€ You can see and read about it here:

    https://www.michael84.co.uk/canada-goose-jacket-yes-i-got-one/

I will close the comments on this post now πŸ™‚

I agree 100% that you should not buy high value fashion such as Canada Goose from unknown named stores online, many are fake. If you go to the official Canada Goose website, it tells you their official stockists. I have found that the UK stores didnt seem to get them until almost after the winter this year, After I bought mine I found a few places selling them but it was in December/January and by then it was too late.

I also got a Canada Goose snood which I blogged about πŸ™‚ I found it in February, so once again a bit late, but it will come in this winter and future winters πŸ™‚
