My New Versace Watch – I Love It :)

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 13th December, 2011

So I got a new watch last week, and I am finally blogging about it :) I have been after a nice new watch for so long, I was gonna keep my D&G one as my good watch and buy another everyday watch, but then I found this Versace watch, and I really like it.

(sorry for all the watermarks, but people steal images and this is a prestige watch!)

So with the watch you get a warrenty card & compliment card, a book, a really posh box and a soft case.

A close up pic :) I really love this watch. I wanted something more simple and understated but elegant, I wanted a leather style strap too, so I got this. My other watches look a bit more flashy and blingy, this is nice and simple, and you would need to know about watches to know it is a quality time piece ;)

The strap is actually made of aligator, and this is an automatic watch which means it never needs a battery or to be wound. It is Swiss made with a Swiss movement, which is what top quality watches use.

Roberto Cavalli Timewear 2011

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 6th December, 2011

Have you seen the Roberto Cavalli Timewear?

They have a few watches for women and men too, and I have to say they look really nice. I like the womens collection, and the mens is not too bad either.

Marc Jacobs Watches AW11

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 1st November, 2011

Here are the Marc Jacobs watches for Autumn Winter 2011. I think they look really nice, as did the previous season.

I think the purple silicone strap watch looks really funky and cool. I really love the design on the face of the watch.

Burberry Brit Contemporary Watches AW2011

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 7th September, 2011

It seems like I have written about Burberry Brit more this week than I have in 2 years, but I guess I am just noticing their stuff more these days! :D

I have been casually looking around for watches for a while, and have found some from Burberry. I have the brash and flash of D&G and Marc Ecko, I have a cool funky silicone Spain watch from ICE Watches, but I don’t have something smart and contemporary. I have been deciding whether I wand a leather strap or metal strap, what I want it to look like, the brand etc. What do you think of these Burberry watches?

I love them all, and cant decided on which one I would get. I am swaying towards the squared one, simplely because all the watches I have are a round face, so this is something different.

The only bad points of these watches is the size of the faces. They are a typical size of around 38mm, but I prefer a bigger face size, such as 45mm which I think my D&G watch is, and my Marc Ecko is even bigger, around 50mm. Despite that I still like all four of these Burberry watches.

I’m Back On Ecko Time

Posted by Michael on Thursday 18th August, 2011

I posted ages ago about me getting a Marc Ecko watch, and also posted when to my horror the battery died after only a year (my D&G lasted 3) and Marc Ecko recommend “only themselves changing the battery” and having to send it to them, and they’d give me a quote. Quite a shit service I thought, so vowed never to buy their watches again.

Well I have been looking around for watches, just like I usually do with other fashion things too, but then after re-reading my post about my watch dying I thought I would get the battery replaced; Not from Marc Ecko like they insist, but from a local place. I don’t really care too much about the watch, I like it but I don’t love it any more.

So I got the battery changed, and all is well :) It did cost £20 which is a disgrace since they only need to put in a new battery, but oh well there is not much you can do. If I sent it to Marc Ecko it could of cost more and been far too inconvenient; having to pay to send it, then pay for it, then waiting for it to be sent back.

I need an everyday watch, and I like to keep my D&G watch for a night out, so I will wear this for a while until I see another which takes my fancy :)

Lacoste Panama Watch Collection

Posted by Michael on Monday 27th June, 2011

Lacoste have announced their Panama collection of watches for Men this summer.

They come with a sporty style strap which is striped, the bezel has a nice sleak and clean look to it. The face is pretty simple which is what you would want, with the date near to the 6 point and it has the traditional Lacoste croc on there too. Three colours are available, green, blue and black.

There is no details on the pirce yet.

Marc By Marc Jacobs Womens Watches

Posted by Michael on Monday 25th April, 2011

I dont write much about womens fashion, but when I was browsing around at watches I found these which I think are really cool.

They are Marc by Marc Jacobs womens watches.

What do you think?

I think these are really nice, and are a good brand in Marc Jacobs. They are affordable too, only around £150 each, for such a big name as Marc Jacobs is a great buy.

They look quite classy, I like the first and third ones, as they look very clean and understated, but at the same time stand out.

If you want a fashion-watch, then these should be a consideration.

Some More Semi-Prestigious Watches

Posted by Michael on Thursday 10th March, 2011

I talked before about some watches I want, and I found some more. These are more expensive and prestigious though. Here are some cool ones I like:

1. Roberto Cavalli - I like this, its big and chunky, it looks really good too.
2. Issey Miyake  – I like this watch. It looks unusual but stylish
3. Gucci – Its a bit plain and boring, I dont like this one. The face is too small, and it just looks like a plain watch but costs lots.
4. Gucci – They call this the iGucci and is their watch for 2011. They also do a Grammy Awards version, and one with diamonds. I do like the idea, but I just dont like a digital watch. It seems a bit cheap, and I like a proper face. You cant beat Analogue!
5. Versace – This is a pretty nice watch, I like the bezel and the face is clean and stylish.

2011 – Time For A New Watch?

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 9th March, 2011

I have 2 watches which I wear regularly, my ICE watch which is the Spain edition, I got that last year after the world cup win, and also my old favourite D&G watch. I have had that since 2007, so is almost 4 years old! I still love it, but I only usually wear it on a night out or something. I also have my Marc Ecko watch which I never wear anymore.

I need an “everyday” watch, but I also want a nice watch. D&G seem to offer the best watches, they offer everything I like about them, good brand, big face, good style.

So I have found the following ones, I think they are the best that I could find and are not too expensive either.

What do you think?

I also wanna go for a leather strap, I have a silicone and metal strap, so want a change. I am not sure about which one I should go for if any, They both have pretty big faces, just like my current D%G watch.

What other good watches are currently available?

Ice Watches – ICE Festival 2011

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 2nd March, 2011

I love the Ice Watch I have, the Spain edition which I got straight after the world cup. I blogged about it before, I just love it. Neon straps are still very fashionable as they ever were, and I think they do look really cool, and make your outfits pop. The good thing is they do come in many colours, all bright and vibrant. Ice watches had an event not too long ago, here are the pics from that event.

I may have to get myself another one, I just have to decide which colour to go for. Maybe yellow?
