Fashionable Purchases Today

Posted by Michael on Thursday 13th October, 2011

Yesterday I ordered some things from ASOS and they have come today :) Take a look at what I have; Lots of jeans, a knit top and even some ties! :P

A pair of True Religion jeans with some very distinct stitching. I love these, and have been looking at getting them for a while, and finally got round to it. “Billy Super T” jeans from True Religion.

V Neck Knit from Junk De Luxe. I have blogged about this before, so finally bought it. It is of good quality, just as I expect from Junk De Luxe. I need some semi-smart knits for day-to-day and work etc.

Pepe Jeans. I have never bought this brand, they are famous and iconic of course and go way back, but I never found many retailers who stock them. I found these and like the wash, something a little different, they are a nice loose fit.

Cheap Monday, could be my favourite high street brand which I have never actually seen on the high street! :P These are a little more raw than what I usually go for, the wash is much lighter than I usually get too; But I wanted some variation in my jeans, so picked these up :)

My second pair of True Religion Jeans for today :P These are super smart black “GONO” jeans, so comfortable. I love True Religion, they are premium, but you can tell where your extra money goes.

Finally two ties…Ties?! I am not much of a tie person, but I have a few smart (plain) shirts now and thought these would go well with them if I want to smarten things up; They are skinny fashionable ties as you can see. Silver and purple.

So there you go! :) I am happy with my purchases, everything fits and I love all of em, no need to send anything back for once :P I probably won’t need any more new jeans for a while either ;)

True Religion Jackson White Jeans

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 8th June, 2011

As you know I got some white jeans for the summer, and I love my Monkee Jeans. I might get another pair of white jeans, what do you think?

I have seen these by True Religion which I like.

I already have a couple pair of True Religion, and I really like them. I think they have taken over from Evisu over the past few years of the premium denim brand to be seen in. The gull has been replaced with a “U” They all have different model name, from Ricky to Jack to Billy, and these ones are “Jackson”. The different names denote the fit.

These are around £128 but you also have to pay tax since their site lists it without tax for some reason, so just a bit over £150 if you buy direct from True Religion.

What do you think?

Buying Direct From True Religion

Posted by Michael on Monday 17th January, 2011

I wrote the other day about some True Religion jeans. I love the brand, their jeans are really comfortable and look really good. They sell them at some places online such as ASOS, but also sell them direct on their website.

I went to it and found some £395 jeans for only £240. This is one of those “too good to be true” kind of moments. This is their official website so no need to worry about the authenticity of them, and I was 99% certain that this price would be without tax, as they are an American brand their websites sometimes work like this.

I actually found 2 pairs of jeans I liked, so added both of them to my basket, and then went to the checkout. The key here is that it doesnt tell you the price you pay (with tax and shipping)  so you dont get to know until you reach that page. It was a huge amount, so I decided to go for 1 pair and see exactly how much I was going to be charged in Tax and Shipping.

It is LOADS!!!

As you can see, the “duty and tax” alone is over £80, which is almost 35%!?! Shipping for 1 pair of jeans then comes in at just under £26, which means that the shipping and tax alone cost over £100!! For me this is not acceptable. Total came to £349, which is still £50 cheaper than ASOS or other stores, but the fact that there is so much tax and shipping to pay I dont think I will bother. There is also the shipping times, 6-12 days is terrible, especially since I am paying £26 for it!

I was gonna order today, but I will have a think about it, I have my eye on another pair which I may get instead or aswell as these. Maybe this is just the “English-ness” coming out of me, I expect to pay the price I see, not high fees for this and that added later, but like I said, its still a few quid cheaper than the UK stores.

True Religion QT and Super QT Jeans

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 11th January, 2011

2 new pair of True Religion jeans which look really cool. Ricky QT and Ricky Super QT jeans. Being True Religion they do come at a big price. QT come in at £240 and Super QT are £385.

QT Jeans – £240

Super QT £385.

What do you think? The Super QT will stand out LOTS, but I do like them. The thick contrast is what is setting True Religion apart these days, they have been doing it for a while now, and it does look good, like the old Evisu days :)

Both are available at ASOS.

True Religion Hoodie

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 9th November, 2010

I found this hoodie which is available to get from the True Religion online store.

Its a Red zip-up hoodie, with True Religion print, and thick stitching which is used on many True Religion things to give it that edge and add nice contrast to the design. I like the red, although its available in blue too.

Cost: £95

Autumn/Winter 2010 Baseball Jackets

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 2nd November, 2010

I got my baseball jackets in the spring, and recently just got one. It seems like we have not heard the last in baseball jackets in the fashion world.

Brands like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger have continued the trend by bringing out baseball jackets for this winter, which have followed on from the spring. Here are some which are different styles and prices.

1. Tommy Hilfiger Baseball Jacket – £250 [John Lewis]
2. Polo Sport by Ralph Lauren Jacket – £130 [Ralph Lauren]
3. Lee Baseball Jacket – £250 [ASOS]
4. BoxFresh Baseball Jacket – £65 [ASOS]

Also found one by True Religion, coming in at £324 its the most expensive. I’m not a big fan of it, the front is fine, however it has huge embroiderey on the reverse. You can see it [here]

I have already got my 3 baseball jackets, which are the one I custom made, the blue and white one with real leather sleeves, and the Franklin and Marshall red and white one I have waited so long for.

Last Night In Newcastle (23rd Oct)

Posted by Michael on Sunday 24th October, 2010

Hello blog!

How are you? I am feeling good today! I must of had a really good sleep or something :) Normally on Sundays I feel tired and fatigued, but not today.

Here is what i wore last night. I wore my beloved Simon Carter scarf again, it was funny because I looked very smart, and some other douche in a bar looked like he had just fell out of a sports shop, hoodie, jacket, horrible t-shirt, crappy trainers, I would never go out like that! Also wore my Junk De luxe blue jumper, I love it, I think I have only wore it a few times. Jeans were True Religion.

Last night I was out in Newcastle with some friends, and it was good. Had quite a bit to drink actually, 3 Monster and Vodkas in the first bar alone…It was a JD Wetherspoons bar (The Milecastle) which is why I had to have Monster and not Redbull.

Also went to some other bars like Bijoux, Destination and Revolution. I love Revolution, its a good bar, but there is usually a queue outside or it takes 20 minutes at the bar. Last night we went to the top bar, I think you can only get cocktails from there, I had a Woo Woo  Its such a cool space, its a shame it takes so long to get served or I would go here lots more. The music was a mix of everything aswell, so there was Hip Hop, old skool dance like The Prodigy, and even Taio Cruz (I throw my hands up in the air sometimes, saying AAAAYYOO GOTTA LET GO!) :P

haha, look at the evil girl :D dont look in her eyes LOL

Then for some reason my friends wanted to go to a gay club, I dont really get why, they arent gay (allegedly) so why would you wanna go? Oh well, I went to Subway and had a chicken sandwich and went home :)

True Religion Slim Jeans

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 15th September, 2010

I love these slim jeans from True Religion. They have embroidered logos on the pocket, which really stand out with the dark wash.

The detailing on them is really good, with the logos going on the mini pocket also carrying the True Religion logo.

They cost around £225.00

I love these True Religion Jeans. They are a loose fit, dark wash with white double stitching. They look really nice, the dark and white contrast is very good.

I saw them when i was in Selfridges in the winter, but didnt go for them. You can still get them at Bagga Menswear for £310. Click Here
