olé olé olé olé!!!!!!!!
HELLOOOOOO!!!!!
Spain won last night as you probably know! I am still amazingly happy. They are in the semi final for the first time, and will play Germany on Wednesday night for a place in the World Cup final. This is sooo cool!
I did say i would go to Madrid, but its just so impossible to get there! I would have to get a train to another city in the UK, then a plane, then the same back…Plane tickets arent too bad, but the train costs loads if you book with no advance, more than a plane!
I will probably just end up watching the game here in the UK
Oh well, it will still be amazing!
Wanna know how happy i was? I looked a bit like this, and still feel like this…….

Attention Everyone….If you look up at the sky and see a star it is not a star. Its the beaming smile i have on my face
Spain beat Portugal 1-0 to book their place into the Quater Final against Paraguay. The game is another evening kickoff, and will be on Saturday on BBC if you are in the UK.
Tonights game was great. It was hard for Spain to play, Portugal were yet another team who play 10-men behind the ball against Spain, or any other good team. They never tried to attack, and when they did it was too late. Spain dominated possesion, had a few good shots at goal, created more and deserved to win. Portugal had the odd half chance on the break which is all they could manage. Cristiano Ronaldo bearly got a kick of the ball.
I said i would go to Madrid if Spain got to the Semi Final..Well they might! I dont know if i can even go, you cant fly to Madrid from Newcastle so i would have to fly from somewhere else, which makes things more complicated, not ideal when doing something last minute.

It is the big one tonight! Spain vs Portugal!!
I am nervous and excited for the game, it brings back memories of 2004 where we lost 1-0 to Portugal.
I am nervous because Spain have only played well at times, the first 2 games they played well but lost the first, the last one they played average but won, the defence looks a bit shaky. There are other questions such as is Torres fit? He doesnt look it so should he play? Xabi Alonso also picked up a knock as did Albiol, I dont think Sergio Busquets is good enough either, hes made some mistakes.
All questions will be answered at 19.30 when the game kicks off

I cant believe it! Spain lose their opening game of the world cup! This really is a disaster! That means, if my maths is correct, they could actually go out even if they win their last 2 games! Chile won today, which means they can beat Switzerland, and then if Switzerland beat Honduras they will both have 6 points. Spain can only get a maximum 6 points. We need goals!!!
It was a good game, apart from the finishing. Spain just couldnt break down the Swiss defence, could not get a clear chance; the Swiss got one and bundled the ball into the net. Spain probably should of had a penalty with a foul on David Silva; Iniesta also got fouled by the last man and won a free kick and their player should of been sent off and wasnt.
Sergio Busquets didnt play well, he was probably the worst of the lot. But all the players who matter didnt look 100%, Iniesta and Xavi have had injury problems, Torres came on but didnt make an impact, and when he did David Villa didnt seem to touch the ball for about 15 minutes!
Spain need to improve, they didnt look the team that started in Euro 2008, despite having most of the same players, the same players who hammered Poland 6-0 the other week.

Which Spain Shirt should i wear tomorrow?
Tomorrow is the day, the first day of the World Cup
It all kicks off at 3pm, Spain’s first game against Switzerland. I really hope they play well, they need to bring something to the world cup. All other teams apart from Germany have been pretty poor.
I also hope they do well because i have been bigging them up for ages, Lets hope they make easy work of the group, most the other teams have not.

What a game!!! Spain won 6-0, and played really good. Iniesta played for 38 minutes, and was so impresive, setting up a goal like only he can for David Silva and the first for David Villa. Iniesta was taken off as a precaution, he may have a thigh strain, and was replaced by Pedro.
There were also goals for Xabi Alonso, Cesc, a first goal for Pedro and maybe the biggest goal of the night, for a retuning Fernando Torres
A nice way to finish off the warm up games.

Hello Blog readers
Today it is another Spain warmup game, and the final one before they go to South Africa. It is against Poland, tonight live on TVE from Murcia.
It all kicks off at 21.00 UK time

Yes, Spain beat South Korea 1-0 thanks to a late but great Jesús Navas goal. It was a pretty boring game, Spain hit the bar, and a few dubious decisions were in the game (this is South Korea we’re talking about) but it was an average performance from a 2nd string Spain, Fernando Llorente didnt really get much service, and was quiet up front on his own. Most the play came from down the right with Navas and captain for the day Sergio Ramos.
David Villa, Pedro, Xavi and Xabi Alonso all came on for a while, and Victor Valdes got his first cap, well done him. He did look strange in that green Spain GK top
Poland is next which is played in Murcia on Tuesday night.

What the hell was that?! Well Spain won 3-2, with a goal in stoppage time. They didnt play particularly well, and it wasnt really a great game. The ball was bouncing all over the place and it was like the players couldnt control it. I dont know if it was the pitch or the players arent used to the ball…They were playing with the ball being used at the World Cup. The signs were there when Sergio Ramos tried passing the ball back, and giving a corner away in the first 15 seconds!
Spain went 1-0 down from a corner headed in, David Villa equalized with a header, and Spain went 2-1 up in the 2nd half through Xabi Alonso. The Saudi’s then scored with a deflected goal, before super sub Fernando Llorente scored a header from a corner in stoppage time.
So much for my 5-0 prediction
Oh well, South Korea is next on Thursday.
