I had to write February 2010 as Facebook keep changing their layout, permissions, and other things. Anyway, here is the new Facebook. If you have already had this layout for a while i am sorry, i just got it today. If you dont have it yet then this is what is to come.

To be honest, not much has changed. The bar at the bottom no longer exists, which is a shame since i used to use it to get to groups and pages. What is strange is that on my monitor in the resolution i use, it doesnt look like the main centre column is actually in the centre.

What do you think of it? It’s probably just a matter of time before there are some more changes.

So its Friday, end of the week, why dont we have a good laugh. Here are some images i found yesterday which i found funny. The majority are from the UK, you will be able to tell which of them are haha

Earlier today Apple announced their tablet, which is officially called the iPad, and has already got an adopted name by some people of the iTampon

So what is it? Well its a 9.7″ screen which you can read ebooks, check emails, listen to music, watch video, play games, use applications…It is basically an iPhone/Touch, which has left people very disappointed.

Spec and price

There will be  WIFI only and a 3g+WIFI models available, which come with an Apple 1GHZ cpu, 16, 32 and 64GB Flash storage drives and Bluetooth. It comes in at only 1.5lbs in weight and is 0.5 inches thick. The battery seems impressive, which boasts 10 hours of usage, and claimed to have a month of standby juice. The price is the major stumbling block…

Announced prices for the U.S. market are split into 2, for the WIFI only and WIFI+3g models.

WIFI only – $499, $599, $699 For 16, 32, 64 GB Respectively
WIFI+3g – $629, $729, $829 For 16, 32, 64GB Respectively

Remember, if you go with a 3g model, you will not only have to pay this down for the device, you will also need a monthly subscription to 3G from a carrier.

For me, this is a big MISS

I will doubt very very much i will get 1 of these at those prices. Why? 2 massive reasons, the price, and i have this device already, its called an iPhone. This just looks like a really big iphone to me, and to alot of people. The buzz from everyone on twitter is the same, that this is, a larger iphone. So if you have an iphone, what does this bring to you? Apple, you need to give us a reason to buy your new toy, and i cant find one. The majority of Apple products have been a huge success in recent times, i really think this will be the first to fail, well i suppose that Macbook Air was a bit of a flop aswell It actually looks a little more square than i thought it would, it looks a bit “wrong” in MR Jobs’ hands.

Availability: It will be available in 60 days for the WIFI Only, and 90 days for the WIFI+3g (April/May)

These are yet to be announced, but i am going to go and guess these, see if i am right….

I put the lower “x49″ numbers in as they may feel a bit generous, but i doubt it So a mid range with 3g could cost almost £600! btw you cant just convert the dollars to pounds and assume that is the price, thats not how it works!

I just found out today that there is a group set up on Facebook aimed at t-shirt companies like my own, because they think that offensive t-shirts should not be sold. This is too funny! I cannot believe that this group has over 8,000 members in only a few days!

These people are very silly. They are the people breaking the law (slander, libel, defamation, and so on) and dont want people to have freedom of speech. I think these people need to get a sense of humor, and fast. There are more things to worry about, on and offline than a t-shirt. If a t-shirt site can offend you, i would stay clear of websites altogether!

The thing about Facebook is that everyone can join…Sounds like a good idea in theory, but it is not! It freaks me out that ‘old people’ are on Facebook, and can look at your life through your profile. On my friends list, i have nobody in my immediate family on my list, and that is how it will stay!

How do you feel about having your mam, dad or family on your profile in your friends list?

Some people are like me, and dont approve of it. So much so, that there is even a site for it. “my parents joined facebook” is a site which lets you upload mortifying screenshots of what your parents have said to you or about you. Take a look, it is quite funny

But it is not just that which is bad. It is when OTHER PEOPLES family add you! In particular mothers, i have seen on some friends profiles that they have their friends mother on their profile, why would you want this!? If they requested me they would be in for a nice IGNORE! It is disturbing when you see that someones mother has interacted with a different friends profile, writing on the wall and so on.

OLD PEOPLE :- Get your own life, stay off Facebook!

Google have said in the last day that they are thinking of pulling their website out of China, because of “sophisticated and targeted” attacks originating from China.

We all know how bad China is for its censorship, so i decided to check out Google.cn. I searched for some known banned sites, Facebook, Youtube, Myspace, all seemed to be there. However searching for other things you see the censorship come in. The most obvious thing is porn. I searched for porn on the web, and no porn sites were listed on the first page. I also did a search in Google Images for “hardcore porn” pretty obvious what you are looking for…But no! Nothing dirty at all! Very obviously filtered out. I ran lots more searches and it shows how censored things are.

But Google does not have dominance in China. Google is the big player in the Western World, but in China it is a search engine called Baidu which has the dominance Google has in the West.

Many are suggesting it comes down to money…Google went into the Chineese market and played by their rules to get a marketshare, it hasnt really worked out for them, so insted of putting up with the laws and attacks it is pulling out. If they were making money maybe they would stay…

The rumors have been going for ages, that Apple are going to release a tablet. The rumors are now getting stronger, some people suggesting that an announcement will be made 27 January for this “tablet” with shipping beginning in March.

Maybe this will be a tablet to cure all known diseases, maybe its for swine flu, or maybe it is a slimming pill which actually works. As soon as i find out, i will let you know!

What it actually is supposed to be a a touchscreen tablet PC, basically a very slim laptop without the hassle of a keyboard. Sizes speculated are 10-11″ touchscreens, and i think it will be a cool gadget to have. However this is Apple we are talking about, so the price will be high. Some are suggesting that prices could be $1000(US Dollars) which when using the coperate way of converting money, will be £1000. That is MORE than a Macbook, for a smaller screen and no keyboard.

If the price point is good, and they come with a decent size HDD and other specs, then i will buy one. I think it is a cool gadget to have, as long the battery life isnt pathetic.

A new media streaming site is here…unless you live in the UK of course! I wrote about geo-blocking a few days ago, and i find Vevo which is like youtube with HQ vids, but its not available in the UK…

But, now it seams that you can access their content, it comes via youtube.
