Bleu De Chanel Review

Posted by Michael on Friday 4th March, 2011

I have had Bleu De Chanel for a few months now, and I really do like it. Its the first Chanel fragrance I have had, and I think they have made a very good product.

The bottle

One of the things which draws people to any EDT or aftershave is the bottle. Its always something I look at, and its always nice to see designers create something unique for their bottle. The bottle is almost as important as the actual smell, if you have something which looks good or unique you are halfway there. The Bleu de Chanel bottle keeps it very smart and simple looking, but dont be fooled. It has a magnetic top, which is very clever. It will not sit on top of the bottle with the logo facing the wrong way, it can only go so that the logo is facing the correct way. Very clever and thought out stuff.

The smell

It smells fresh, and a little strong but not too much. It smells inviting and very smooth. It is a light smell, which could be worn at night or during the day if you want to smell really good. It is not over-powering but at the same time you will be able to smell it.

Similar smells include Gucci by Gucci and Narciso Rodriguez for him, and a hint of Vera Wang for men.

Soap And Glory Male Varnish Bag

Posted by Michael on Thursday 10th February, 2011

I got this Soap and Glory Male Varnish bag, its really good. Aswell as getting a handy travel bag to keep your things in you get 5 50ml bottles of Soap and Glory products. You get body spray, shave gel, shower gel, facial moisture balm and hair and body wash. Its the ultimate grooming kit for a man, it has pretty much everything you need. This one doesnt include hair wax, but you can get the “Billy Wildhair” styling putting aswell to make this complete.

This bag would make a perfect gift if you are looking to get a guy something for Valentines Day or a Birthday. The bag itself has plenty room to put in other things, and seems pretty strong. Plenty room for that hair product and your favourite EDT. :)

Dermalogica Products December 2010

Posted by Michael on Friday 10th December, 2010

My Dermalogica supplies were getting a bit low so I thought I better get some more. I got a few new things to try which I havent got before. I got the after shave balm, skin smoothing cream and the body wash for everyday use in the shower. I also got some moisturiser and toner which I have had before.

I also got my mam some for Xmas, some multivitamin hand and nail treatment, body hydrating cream and sheer tint moisturiser. So if you were wondering why there is tinted moisturiser in there now you know why :D

Also got loads of samples from Dermalogica, lots and lots as you can see, too many to name.

I used the body wash yesterday which I thought was good. I was expecting it to be more of a white cream, but it was more like a thick shower gel.

Lacoste Elegance EDT: Blast From The Past

Posted by Michael on Thursday 4th November, 2010

Lacoste Elegancewas one of my favourite fragrances which I had, I think I first got it in 2006. I have a bit of a habit re-buying them if I have loved them, I did that with Gucci Envy, and it took ages to find someone selling it.

Now i have re-bought Lacoste Elegance, in a bigger bottle aswell. Its old, so it wasnt very expensive, but the new bottle I got isnt a spray and i didnt realise :( Its still the same great smell though.

The new bottle I got was only £15 and it’s 90ml. My old bottle is 50ml I think, and there is still a bit left, although I will throw it out now, since I have a newer bigger bottle :)

Lacoste Elegance, aka “Man smell”

My Fragrences September 2010

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 7th September, 2010

Hello blog!

I love to smell good, and i have posted my fragrences before, well here is the September 2010 version :) I have added some new ones, and i think i have over 50 now, but some are a bit old, and need replacing i think :P

Current favourites are the New Hugo Boss “Bottled Night”, Gucci by Gucci and my Gucci Envy; I have had 2 bottles of this, got the first in 2005, loved it so much i had to buy it again earlier this year, it was quite hard to find somewhere who still sold it!

I also like my Vera Wang, new Ralph Lauren and Narsico Rodriguez.

If i re-buy new bottles it would be my Armani Code, Jean-Paul Gaultier (original), Lacoste Elegance, Lacoste Blue, D&G The One and maybe a few others. Its a shame they stop selling some after a while, i do not know where i would get the Lacoste from for example, i have good memories of wearing that, as i do with others ;) Every smell has its own story :P

I might get the new Chanel for men, Chanel Bleu, Bleu de Chanel for men.

Ralph Lauren Number 2

Posted by Michael on Friday 20th August, 2010

I got yet another new fragrance! Yes, i now have another new name to add to my huge collection, Ralph Lauren. They have brought 4 new fragrances out, all number 1 to 4, and all have their own name and smell. I have number 2, the red bottle, which is called Seductive.

It does smell nice, it is one of those which needs the air to hit and and wait a few minutes for you to really smell it properly. It smells more fruity and subtle than a harsh dark smell, it is not very musky.

Hugo Boss Bottled Night: Smells Soo Good!

Posted by Michael on Saturday 31st July, 2010

I got some more smelly stuff! :P Its Hugo Boss Bottled Night, and it smells sooooo good!! :) Its my favourite smell this year i think, i got the 50ml EDT bottle which was £35.

It has a very strong and rich smell, its definatly a night smell which is where it got its name i guess. I will be wearing this alot, it is hard to describe a smell, but it is good.

Its the new fragrance from Hugo Boss, I have a few of theirs, and this is by far there best effort, its really nice :)

Soap and Glory For Men

Posted by Michael on Sunday 13th June, 2010

Hello my lovelies :)

I got some products from Soap and Glory the other day, and have been using them for the past couple of days. I have the hair and body wash, the anti-perspirant and the aftershave balm. Soap and Glory is becoming one of my favourite brands, I love their stuff, i already have the body spray and hair wax which are 2 more good products from them.

The body wash smells really good! Its really slippery actually :P It does what its supposed to do, get you clean, and smelling really clean too.

The anti-perspirant is also good, it does have a scent, if you prefer an oderless style then this might not be for you. I like a scent, it saves putting on spray over the top. I wouldnt say its a really powerful smell, more light and fresh. It doesnt make a huge tone of white powder under your arm or on your clothes either.

I have only tried out the Facial balm once. It is light, and does seem to have a very light scent to it. I dont really mind this, but some might. It does feel good and moisturises well, i dont know if it will replace my King Of Shaves Soothing balm though, only time will tell :P

If you wanna buy Soap and Glory you can buy from places such as Boots online here or instore.

My CK Boxers, Bjorn Borg Boxers and Sonicare

Posted by Michael on Thursday 20th May, 2010

Hello Blog :)

How are you? Today is sooo good! Loads of Sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine (Liam Gallagher voice)

I blogged yesterday about getting some things from ASOS and Amazon, and if you read my blog you might of got some hints ;)

Well I needed a new toothbrush, so here is my brand new Sonicare! Also i am the “boxershorts boy” so i got a few more pairs, here’s the stuff…

My new Sonicare toothbrush. Its a better one than before, its their top of the range one, Flexcare, which is supposed to give a guaranteed whiter smile within 2 weeks. Sonicare are the best i think, my last one was really good, and i know a few people with them who like them. It comes with 2 heads, the standard one which is 10% bigger, and a precision one. It has a UV sanitizing station for the heads to keep them free of germs which also charges it, and it has a dedicated charger aswell. Also comes with a carry pouch. The toothbrush has a few settings, you can set it to the usual cleaning routines, and a massage, which you can tell is different, its softer on your teeth.

Also got 3 new pairs of Boxer Shorts aswell. I already have the Spain Calvin Klein X ones, and another pink pair of the X series, they feel really good. Now i have the Swedish ones :)

Also got 2 pair of the new Bjorn Borg boxers. Black ones because i love black, and really light blue/cyan aswell.

I do love my boxer shorts, as you probably already know, since i blog about them lots and have loads of pairs. I havent got any fragrances for a while, maybe that should be next? ;)
