I got YSL La Nuit De L’Homme EDT today, and I absolutely love it! It smells so nice, it could be my favourite Fragrance of this year.
It is really hard to describe smells sometimes, and this is one of those. It is a darker smell, more intense and a little bit woody, but not too much. It is not fruity/citrus, which I am not the biggest fan of, but is not too heavy. I would recommend this to be worn on a night, maybe not as a day scent, because it is a little strong, but it depends on how you like to smell.
I think it is so nice!

As it is Christmas time of year I got a gift set which was the same price as the bottle, which is 60ml. Included in the gift set is the usual aftershave balm and shower gel.
I originally went to have a smell of the YSL L’Homme Libre, which is also very nice, but more light. I will get that for Christmas, and bought this today.

Christmas time is coming, and if it’s one thing a man wants, needs and should get for Christmas it is a new scent. If you read my blog you will know I love my fragrances, and I have so many, but will be getting more this year as usual. I have put together a few of my favourites and what I think are really nice.

So here are 7 which I can safely say are amazing. I have them all except the first one, which I am getting this year but have already had a smell and it is really nice. What do we have here?
- Marc Jacobs – Bang Bang
- 212 VIP by Carolina Herrera
- Bvlgari MAN
- Gucci by Gucci
- Dolce And Gabbana The One Gentleman
- Armani Code
- Narciso Rodriguez
A mix of some old and some new. These are all very nice, and I can’t recommend them enough. Bang Bang is the newest scent here, with Armani Code being the oldest, but still worth having. Bvlgari MAN and 212 VIP are also quite recent.
If you are looking for an EDT or aftershave to buy for yourself or someone then I recommend the above which are really good.
I have also found a couple which I have not tried, but may do, which are…

- YSL L’Homme Libre
- Dior Higher
- Armani Code Sport
I am really interested in the YSL and Dior, I will have to try them out and see if they are any good.

So two of the brands which I love when it comes to fragrances and EDT’s are Gucci and 212 by Carolina Herrera. I have got a few 212′s and have liked them for a while, and I have some Gucci’s too, which I love probably more than any.

I have 2 prestige Gucci’s the bottles on the left and right. I got these for Christmas one year, and do not use them much. The smell is very strong, and is an old school musky smell. One is an EDT spray and the other is aftershave lotion. This is what I call “man smell” because it smells like old traditional aftershave. The bottle in the middle is Gucci Envy, which could be my all-time favourite scent. I love it. I got a bottle in 2006, and loved it so much I had to track down another bottle last year and finally did. Its quite hard to come by these days, and is old. I also have Gucci by Gucci, which smells amazing. Very strong and powerful, it is a really good smell. The newest to the collection is Gucci Guilty. This smells a little less powerful than the previous, but is still a nice smell.
Now to the 212. The first to the left is the first one I got, and the best out of the three. It is 212 Sexy Men. Its a strong and powerful smell but quite light and fruity with a little bit of spice. The next is the bottle on the right, simply called 212 Men. This is a more fresh smell, but still smells pretty good. 212 VIP Men is the bottle in the middle, and has a magnetic top just like the previous two. Again this is a nice smell, and is currently the newest in the collection.
Do you own any of these? What do you think?

I love to smell good! If you read my blog you will know, and I famously have over 50 scents and the list just keeps on growing. The other week I got myself Gucci Guilty and the new 212 VIP, both of which I like a lot. I have now had a smell of the new Marc Jacobs, Bang Bang, and I like that
I have the original “Bang” from Marc Jacobs, which I got at Xmas. I got it in a sale, it was part of usual gift packs that perfume makers do at Xmas time, and I bought it online, so I had no idea of the smell. Well it wasn’t good, I don’t like it at all, I think it smells too much like pepper.
This new one, Bang Bang smells more fresh but also powerful. It is obviously hard to describe what a smell is like, but I would maybe compare it to something like Gucci Envy.
If you buy this new one make sure you get it right, it is the one in the BLUE bottle

Same design bottle as the old, but in blue. I will probably be getting this soon

I got the latest Lacoste blue EDT a few months back, and then a week or so later I got another bottle for my birthday! It is really nice, out of the three Lacoste L12.12 which came out this year I like this one the best. The others are nice, but I prefer this one. It is a more powerful stronger smell, whereas the white for example is a more fresh smell.

If you are looking for a new scent, give this a try

So here is an update of the fragrances I currently own. I think it is 59 in total, it is a little hard to count haha.
Which is your favourite?

I have my own favourites from my collection. I love my Gucci Envy and Gucci by Gucci, aswell as D&G The One and Bvlgari Man. Here are my top 10 which I currently love.

Vera Wang, Boss Bottled Night, Narsico Rodriguez. So good!

If you are in need of some shower gel which makes you smell good then I highly recommend the Dolce and Gabbana “The One” shower gel.

I got this in one of my sets, and tried it, and LOVE it!! Its seriously the best smelling shower gel I have ever used
I dont usually buy the fashion brands shower gels and just get them in sets, as they are quite expensive, its only soap
However I will have to get myself a big bottle of this.
After I have a shower I keep smelling my arms, it is so nice!!
If you want some then its sold in the usual places, Fenwicks, Boots etc. and it will cost around £20 for 200ml.
BTW this is the original “The One” and not “The One Gentleman”. I dont have that in a shower gel but I do have the EDT which I also like

I have had Bleu De Chanel for a few months now, and I really do like it. Its the first Chanel fragrance I have had, and I think they have made a very good product.
The bottle
One of the things which draws people to any EDT or aftershave is the bottle. Its always something I look at, and its always nice to see designers create something unique for their bottle. The bottle is almost as important as the actual smell, if you have something which looks good or unique you are halfway there. The Bleu de Chanel bottle keeps it very smart and simple looking, but dont be fooled. It has a magnetic top, which is very clever. It will not sit on top of the bottle with the logo facing the wrong way, it can only go so that the logo is facing the correct way. Very clever and thought out stuff.
The smell
It smells fresh, and a little strong but not too much. It smells inviting and very smooth. It is a light smell, which could be worn at night or during the day if you want to smell really good. It is not over-powering but at the same time you will be able to smell it.
Similar smells include Gucci by Gucci and Narciso Rodriguez for him, and a hint of Vera Wang for men.

Hey Hey blog!
I got some good fragrances for Xmas and also bought myself a couple. Here is what I have to add to my collection.

That is Marc Jacobs Bang, Bleu De Chanel, D&G number 1, Dolce and Gabbana The One Gentleman, Bvlgari Man and Dolce and Gabbana The One.
Favourites? I have to say I still LOVE the original “The One” from Dolce and Gabbana, and I also love the new Bvlgari, its really really nice.
The Bang from Marc Jacobs is probably my least favourite, its strong, and smells like pepper. Maybe I just have to learn to love it
The bottle is by far the most interesting tho
The D&G number 1 came in the white zipped pouch above.

Lacoste Elegancewas one of my favourite fragrances which I had, I think I first got it in 2006. I have a bit of a habit re-buying them if I have loved them, I did that with Gucci Envy, and it took ages to find someone selling it.
Now i have re-bought Lacoste Elegance, in a bigger bottle aswell. Its old, so it wasnt very expensive, but the new bottle I got isnt a spray and i didnt realise
Its still the same great smell though.
The new bottle I got was only £15 and it’s 90ml. My old bottle is 50ml I think, and there is still a bit left, although I will throw it out now, since I have a newer bigger bottle

Lacoste Elegance, aka “Man smell”
