Burberry Brit Contemporary Watches AW2011

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 7th September, 2011

It seems like I have written about Burberry Brit more this week than I have in 2 years, but I guess I am just noticing their stuff more these days! :D

I have been casually looking around for watches for a while, and have found some from Burberry. I have the brash and flash of D&G and Marc Ecko, I have a cool funky silicone Spain watch from ICE Watches, but I don’t have something smart and contemporary. I have been deciding whether I wand a leather strap or metal strap, what I want it to look like, the brand etc. What do you think of these Burberry watches?

I love them all, and cant decided on which one I would get. I am swaying towards the squared one, simplely because all the watches I have are a round face, so this is something different.

The only bad points of these watches is the size of the faces. They are a typical size of around 38mm, but I prefer a bigger face size, such as 45mm which I think my D&G watch is, and my Marc Ecko is even bigger, around 50mm. Despite that I still like all four of these Burberry watches.

My New Custom-Fit Shirts From Ralph Lauren

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 7th September, 2011

I am now a big fan of smart contemporary ways of dressing, and so I bought some shirts from Ralph Lauren, which have some very smart shirts and have been producing smart modern shirts for a long time now.

I bought two, and went for the pastel colours for a sharp and smart look. I got green and purple.

I got size 16 which is my usual size, and they fit well. They are not as tight fitting as my Dolce and Gabbana shirts, there is a bit more room in the chest but the shoulders and collar fit perfectly :)

I will be wearing these soon ;)

Junk De Luxe V Neck Knit

What do you think of this V neck knit from Junk De Luxe?

You can get it from ASOS.

A good V Neck knit for the autumn? I may get this.

Spain 6 – 0 Liechtenstein

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 7th September, 2011

Just a quick note, Spain won last night 6-0 :D It was a good game, it did not get started for about 30 minutes, but when one goal went in the rest followed :D

Also, I got my team prediction almost right.

My prediction:

Casillas; Ramos, Albiol, Arbeloa, Busquets; Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Cesc, Iniesta; David Villa, Torres

Actual Team

Casillas; Ramos, Albiol, Arbeloa, Busquets; Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Mata, Iniesta; David Villa, Negredo

Only 2 wrong guesses

Sak Noel – Loca People (What The F…)

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 6th September, 2011

What do you think of this song? Sak Noel – Loca People (What The Fuck). It was a bit song for places like Ibiza this summer (apparently) and I heard it on the radio last week and also this morning. I first heard it in July, never really gave it much of a listen, but its alright I suppose.

Its probably better if it means something to you, i.e. if you heard it on holiday. It sounds like an old skool trancey-hard house kind of track.

AW 2011 Jackets From Burberry Brit

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 6th September, 2011

So I was having a browse around the Internet looking for some cool things, maybe a jacket for this autumn/winter. I have my Canada Goose of course, for the harsh winter and day to day wearing, but what about a smart jacket for going out, or a jacket for when it is not sub zero? Well I had a look round the Burberry site and found some things…

Burberry is the original quintessentially British brand, and although it had its name dragged through the chav/charva mud over a few years, I think it has re-discovered its way and is producing some really nice pieces.

The first jacket is a waxed cotton jacket with zipper and button fastenings, and has buttoned back vents. £495 Buy/view it here

The second is my favourite, a diamond quilted single breast jacket. It looks really sleek and smart, with a button fastening. £350. Buy/view it here

The third is a zip front single breast jacket with a stand collar, made from soft cotton. £295. buy/view it here

I love the quilted jacket, and I may get one this year, but should I go for the Burberry or should I go for something like a Barbour?

Spain vs Liechtenstein – Tonight

Posted by Michael on Tuesday 6th September, 2011

It is Spain vs Liechtenstein tonight, with Spain looking to secure a spot in Euro 2012. I believe a win will mean that they have qualified for the Euros next year, with 2 games to spare. It will mean 6 out of 6 wins too, which is cool but not unexpected :)

Del Bosque may make changes to the game against Chile last Friday…The first half was terrible, Javi Martinez was rubbish in defence, but its not his position, and Negredo was also not impressive to say the least. I think Spain will go for Busquets at the back, with Iniesta or Fabregas, or both coming in. I also think they should start with Torres and David Villa, they have not started too many games together of late, and getting a few goals each again the minnows  may be just what they need.

My team for tonight:

Casillas; Ramos, Albiol, Arbeloa, Busquets; Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Cesc, Iniesta; David Villa, Torres.

The game kicks off at 9PM

5th September 2011 – Man Flu

Posted by Michael on Monday 5th September, 2011

Oh I feel bad! I have definitely come down with man flu, I have actually had it for a few days…First it was just a sore throat, now it is full on coughing and sneezing. When I am working I have my head down (literally) so my nose has been running all day which was so annoying, and now I still feel ill.

Yesterday I had a Beachams homey and lemon, SHIT! They are disgusting! It’s the honey I can’t stand; I usually just have a lemon Lepsip which is bad enough, yesterday I tried one of those honey and lemon Beachams and it was horrible! It also obviously didn’t work either!

Here is what I wore on this Flu day:

  • Monkee Genes Jeans
  • D&G Watch
  • Converse Trainers
  • Stanford University Hoodie
  • Diet Coke T Shirt

So tonight I will watch Entourage which is on at 22:45 I think, and just relax for the rest of the night. I cannot be arsed to do anything, I am too full of cold! :P

I have ordered some lovely new shirts from Ralph Lauren, a brand which I have grown to like in the past year. They are plain and smart shirts, and would go with a smart jacket, I think that will be my style for being smart for a while. I will post pics tomorrow ;)
