Yes you heard me right!
Selfridges, which has hundreds of fashion brands under it’s roof, including many up market and high end fashion labels is welcoming a new brand into its store, and it goes by the name of Primark.
It will be debuting in the Birmingham Selfridges, with a “special edit” of their menswear. You will be able to shop for chic and cheap, Primark next to Armani?
What do you think of this news, good or bad? Will this dent the reputation of Selfridges or improve the rep of Primark?

I read this today on The Mirror’s website…
Newcastle is the place to go for a one night stand, and is the pulling capital of the UK. It got 30% of a travel websites votes for “Best place for a one night stand” which is double that of London, which was in 2nd place and more than treble than Manchester and Liverpool (9% each).
They are calling it the “Geordie Shore” effect; Newcastle was also voted the most friendly place to visit in the UK
Yeah, we are a friendly bunch
What do you think?

p.s. Don’t go to Bath!

I have recently gone over 5,000 tweets on Twitter! :O That is quite a lot, I wouldn’t consider myself a Twitter addict, I know of people with 20k+ Tweets, which seems insane!
I joined my personal account on 13th December 2009, so its almost 2 years, which is around 7 tweets per day, which isnt too bad. Twitter is about Tweeting after all!
I don’t see the point of people having it to update it every now and then, but at the same time I hate to see people posting a huge number of tweets all at once spoiling my timeline. I did have a few accounts before that, including my company account which I have to say I don’t use as much as I should.
To commemorate passing 5,000 tweets I will show my best tweets which got a Retweet. I could never go through all the tweets I have done, but here are some of the memorable things I have said which have been Retweeted; Sometimes I forget that people follow me and then are able to Retweet my messages, LOL!

My favourite Retweets? “My piss is almost as orange as some of the girls in Newcastle were last night”
and of course how can I forget the drunken Tweet which said “It’s 1:43 I think I can play some Samantha Mumba” hahaha!
If you want to follow me on Twitter, for entertainment if nothing else, you can get me @MichaelAdams84

Last time I tried to shop Swedish style on a certain site I asked if they delivered to the UK, and they said, “Not on your Nelly”…Well now that has all changed!
The Scandinavian fashion super site Nelly.com is now delivering to the UK as well as other EU Countries! It’a about time too!
I blogged about them back in April as I found a cricket jumper they sold I wanted, and again in July when I found a cool Swedish Helicopter tee too. Back then they did not deliver to the UK.
They have now opened their doors to us so it’s another place to find some great fashion pieces. They carry hundreds of brands, and since they are Scandinavian you will find the latest in all Nordic brands which are pruducing some great fashion collections at the moment; Brands like Cheap Monday, Morris, Junk De Luxe, Nudie, Adrian Hammond and Tiger Of Sweden can all be found on Nelly.
At the moment if you spend over €75 you get free shipping

Oh dear!
It seems that Grainger Games have been upsetting people in the gaming world. They were the main sponsor of a gaming event last night, the GMA’s, the Gaming Media Awards. They have been criticised for their behavior at the awards and condemned by the event organisers Intent Media, who have gone on to say Grainger Games will not be welcomed back.
From the things I have read you cannot condone their behavior, which allegedly included heckling the host Greg Davies (The Inbetweeners), and being generally lairy and loud to put it mildly.
But as ever there seems to be an Internet storm about the whole thing. Gizmodo UK (written by Bulent Yusuf) and others have sensationalised the story, from start to end; Criticising the whole promotion from their Orange Hummer (or “hateful orange” as Gizmodo UK put it) to the girls and dwarves to the condoms which they apparently gave out on tables; Doesn’t sound too painful to me. The Gizmodo article rants and raves about the colour orange, and is dumbfounded by their chants of “Toon Army”…Erm Grainger Games is from Newcastle, that could be an indication of why, even if it was unwelcomed.
It did not stop GMA tweeting this message last night, to while they did not seem to mind the “booth babes”.

Grainger Games have since apologised. Unfortunately for them it seems the people they had at the event representing them have let them down in the biggest way possible. Many people on Twitter have jumped on the bandwaggon of criticising Grainer Games. Civil war within the games industry? Probably something they don’t need.
I have to say I have been in their store and have no complaints, there staff seem alright to me, and their prices are good, so I can’t complain.

Just a little mini wishlist of a few things I have found while browsing which have caught my eye.

Jageer Cashmere Knits – I really like these. I have picked out a red round neck and a black V Neck. These would both look great with a shirt or simple t-shirt underneath. It is the perfect combination for a night out or even smart day wear.
Comme des Garçons T Shirt – I already have one, and really like this one. Red, and featuring an oversize logo printed on the front. When you buy Comme des Garçons you do get quality, and they are one of the more distinctive brands of 2011.
Comme des Garçons Cardigan – Here I have pictured a dark grey one, but I also like the black. I really do like my cardigans, they are so versatile and I wear them a lot. I haven’t bought one for a while, so this one could be the one. It is expensive, this runs at around £300.
So I may get myself either the cardigan or one of the knits, what do you think? The cardigan I will get the most wear out of, and I love it. But the knits are something a bit different, they are cashmere and are half the price.
UPDATE
How could I forget a Barbour!

Had my eye on them a while. Did not bother getting one last year, probably the only person on the planet who didn’t
I want a really nice and smart style like above, so when it is absolutely freezing I can wear it on a night out

Hello everyone
So, its the middle of the week already?! Shit it has flown! How was your day? Mine was quite good, I have done lots of work, and got a few work related Christmas things organised…I have ordered a huge number of t-shirts ready for work for the busy season, its the biggest order I have made, as well as ordering other things for work. Combine that with other things I have been buying lately like my ASOS purchases and other things, and I have spent a fortune! My bank balance has never looked so bad LOL!
Here is what I wore today:

- Generic Cricket Jumper
- Boss Orange Jeans
- FCUK Leather Jacket
- Ray Ban Sunglasses
- Junk De Luxe T-Shirt
- Converse Trainers
I thought I better wear my cricket jumper, I have only worn it once since I got it, and the winter is almost coming, its more of a spring/summer/autumn kind of thing. If you ever get one I would advise getting a size smaller, this is a small and there is plenty of room!
I saw the most “dog obsessed” driver today; There is loads of traffic where I drive so I was stuck behind a car; It had 4 or 5 dog related stickers on it, “I love my dog” or whatever..I looked at the number plate, it was a private plate and it was something like B17 PUP ….PUP!! Like a puppy?! hahaha! I couldn’t believe it!
It took me a while to realise the plate, but it was obvious they have bought it because of the “PUP” part, I guess they really like dogs!

Yes, Adrian Hammond hats are back for this winter.

I got mine last year along with a jacket which I love. The hats are quite tall, so if that is not quite your style these may not be for you. I have a black one, but they are available in 3 colours as above; Red, navy and black. They come with the embroidered Italian logo patch and AH text. They cost around €25.

Pic from last year, what a cold winter that was
