Computer Woes

Posted by Michael on Wednesday 18th March, 2009

I had been getting BSoD (Blue Screens of Death) like in the old days you used to get all the time on Windows 95/98. But in XP, they rearly happen unless something is actually wrong. I tested some parts, took the RAM out and put it back in and restarted the machine, it booted but nothing on the screen. I need my PC for work so i thought i may be without it as the GFX Card must be broke and i dont have a spare. I kept going and finally got to know that slot 1 on my motherboard was broken, the RAM and GFX card were fine (so why did it boot??).

So i have my PC working correctly again, so far so good. I hope that was the problem :)

I also got a new 1.5TB Seagate hard drive last week to replace one of my smaller drives, its a BEAST :D
