Fragrance Review – Emporio Armani Remix He

Featuring:

Emporio Armani Remix Fragrance For Men Review

For this week’s aftershave review I want to talk about a classic, Emporio Armani Remix for men. It was released in 2006 and I got it around that time, and it holds many memories, and is a really nice smell. I’ve recently learned that it’s now been discontinued, which is a real shame.

Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme Review

Featuring:

Acqua Di Gio By Giorgio Armani

A classic timeless scent which has been around for a long time, I am talking about Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani. It may have been around for a long time, and is loved by many, however it’s one of my newest fragrances.

After all the hype surrounding it, I decided that I had to get myself a bottle, it almost felt like a crime not having this in my huge fragrance collection. It first appeared in 1996, and is still going strong, it’s a firm favourite with many, and makes a lot of people’s lists for a must have scent.

Armani Mania By Giorgio Armani Review

Featuring:

Armani Mania Men's Fragrance Review

In 2002 Giorgio Armani released this, Armani Mania. The bottle is a classic no nonsense irregular cylindrical smoked glass bottle with a chunky gun metal grey top. Despite this scent being released over 10 years ago, it can still be purchased today, and is something worth considering.

Back in 2005 was when I first got this EDT, and I fell in love with it. Armani Mania became one of my favourites, and it brings back some great memories. It’s a warm, spicy and woody style of scent, masculine but not too dark and musky.

The spicy woody odour is toned down by a floral note which produces an interesting scent, giving the spicy aroma some lightness. The combination of it being not too light and not too musky but still enough to pack that masculine punch gives it a real elegant and sophisticated scent.

It’s perfect for a night out in the summer or winter, or when you want to pack a bit more of a punch in a more formal setting.

Best season to wear – All rounder
Scent type – Spicy/Woody/Fresh/Floral
Age Recommendation – 21+
Best Worn – Evening, Daytime, Office, Date Night, Casual

Top Notes – Tangerine Leaves, Saffron

Middle Notes – Cedar, Vetiver

Base Notes – Amber, Musk

Bvlgari MAN And Armani Code EDT: Large Bottles

Featuring:

armanicode-bulgariman-jan2013

I did get some brand new EDT’s and fragrances for Christmas, but I wanted to get some old favourites, but not any old bottles, I wanted the large bottles.

I usually buy 50ml bottles, and I have loads of them, I actually don’t know the number since I got new ones, but its somewhere more than 50. Since I have so many, and I wear different ones, I rarely run out of the same one, even my favourites. I recently bought a large Gucci by Gucci 100ml bottle, and have decided that I will buy my favourites in the larger bottles, to ensure I don’t run out.

Bvlgari MAN is one of my favourites, and I got it a couple of years ago, more or less when it was released. It’s such a really nice smell, and even though I have half a bottle left, I decided to get a large 100ml bottle.

I got Armani Code in about 2005 and loved it. It’s a real evening kind of smell, and when I smell it, it reminds me of going out, probably because I did wear this a lot 😀 It’s one of the few bottles I have which I actually ran out of, and I had not bought a new bottle, so have not had it since about 2007. I never ever got around to buying it again, since I wanted to try new scents, I love it but there are loads more out there. So, years later, I decided that I would re-live the past and get a bottle. Armani Code comes in an even bigger bottle, this is their biggest and is 125ml.

Large bottles do not come cheap, not for these anyway. the 100ml Bvlgari MAN was £58 and the Armani Code 125ml was £65. The girl on the counter said I had expensive taste 😉
