- Shearer! Shearer! Shearer!
No, its not an April fools, well apparently not anyway. Alan Shearer is the new manager of Newcastle United, for the time being at least.
For some reason, someone has decided that King Al is the man to lead Newcstle in their attempt to get out of the mess they find themselves in, which is a relegation fight. Whoever thought that a man with no managerial experience would be a good choice is anyones guess, but in Shearer we have someone who does love the club. He has said in the past he was not ready to manage Newcastle basically because of the situation which NUFC is in both on and off the pitch.
If he really has been appointed then it makes him the 4th person in charge this season alone, after Keegan, Hughton and Kinnear. The Sources are BBC Sport, Sky Sports News and NUFC.com
Update 1: Iain Dowie is apparently going to be Shearer’s number 2, which Shearer picked himself. If there’s one thing Iain Dowie knows its how to get relegated.

- Got Recession?
When i turn on the news all i hear about is the Recession. The country owes too much money, people cant get credit, people are loosing jobs, companies are going bankrupt, the car industry is on its knees and so on. So why have i seen so many ’09 plate cars?!? There are countless numbers of them on the road, i have seen loads from Qashqai’s to new model Fiestas and a brand new convertible Audi A3! There are so many new cars on the road, so how can that be when car companies are complaining about not selling much? I have heard big garages and dealerships selling only a few cars a week, but what i see in Newcastle tells a different story.
Its the same on the housing front. People cant pay mortgages, people are losing their homes, house prices are being slashed…..Where?! I have took an interest in a few houses to find they are under offer or have been sold! And its not the estate agents playing games, these properties are actually getting sold, and are on the market for more than they’re worth!! Why o why are people buying now when its going to get worse before it will get better? How do these people get mortgages if they arent being given out?
Is Newcastle just slow to react, or has it somehow bypassed the recession? I personally havent heard of anyone losing a job, being made homeless or anything like that. I have on the other hand heard of people getting new jobs, and buying new cars!

The best mobile phone in History was….The Nokia 3330? Back in the day i loved mine, it was great for texting, you could put cool tones on it, it was everything!
Wow, times have changed. But the sizes of things havent. Take a look at the size of it up against a WD ‘portable’ hard drive and the iphone. There is no much difference in size, technology inside may have moved on but we still cant seem to pack a great deal into something small, compact, thin and light,

- Zuckerberg dont be a Sucker…berg
Why o Why Facebook? The very original layout was great, there were no problems with it at all. It worked well, and was easy to navigate, which is what you want. Then came “the new” Facebook with layout changes, which people including me did not like. I have got used to that one now, its not too bad. But what happens, they have yet again made a change, this time much much bigger to the layout and where things are.
Now it is more like Twitter, with an updates stream….But if i want to use Twitter, i would use Twitter!
Facebook became famous because it was innovative. OK there are others which are similar but they all differ slightly and Facebook has become the social networking site for everyone. Now it is copying others, where will it stop?

I had been getting BSoD (Blue Screens of Death) like in the old days you used to get all the time on Windows 95/98. But in XP, they rearly happen unless something is actually wrong. I tested some parts, took the RAM out and put it back in and restarted the machine, it booted but nothing on the screen. I need my PC for work so i thought i may be without it as the GFX Card must be broke and i dont have a spare. I kept going and finally got to know that slot 1 on my motherboard was broken, the RAM and GFX card were fine (so why did it boot??).
So i have my PC working correctly again, so far so good. I hope that was the problem
I also got a new 1.5TB Seagate hard drive last week to replace one of my smaller drives, its a BEAST

- iphone MMS…About Time!
A New upgrade to the iPhone Software, 3.0 has been announced and is set for release in the Summer. However many people are predicting a new iPhone will also be released. That does piss me off as it will other people. I have a 3g iphone, and now they are releasing another new one? That makes 3 iphones in a year or so??? Its not a bad thing if you have the freedom to upgrade, Apple allowed users to upgrade from the old 2g to 3g models, however you need to sign a new 18 month deal if you got it on Contract. So they have you both ways, either sign a new contract, or have outdated technology until your contract runs out which is probably a year or more for most of us.
Apple should release only software upgrades for at least 2 years after the phone is made, then in those 2 years they can concentrate on imporving the hardware aspects such as a better camera (with flash?) amongst other things.
3.0 will feature mms messaging aswell as copy/paste, i was amazed that it didnt support mms from the start, Apple are a mile behind the phone giants it seems for basic things we have been used to using on our usual 2.5g and 3g handsets.
